For some reason, whenever I try to hover on the last item in a CW ping, I noticed that the hover often bugs out so I can't see the preview.

I asked to help me test, we noticed that it's normally happening when the message is medium-long length and only on the last hover. This gif shows multiple events, but it was still happening from a single event if the message was sufficiently long.

Using PC, Chrome 87.0.4280.141, Windows 10

Same here, and also when there are 2 items on the last line of a message, they both act up like that.

it's still happening to me (and it's not technically exclusive to "cw events," since these ended up as "forum events"), your ping might just've been too short to trigger it.

it also doesn't seem to be affected by custom css since i took mine off and it does this either way.

Yep, I can confirm it's still happening It does seem to happen only when the item scode is the last thing in the message as well, so yours may have had the item scode in the middle?

I'm not cool enough to get CW events.. :( Any clue of this is still happening?

same! it's like the hover over expands the box because the scrollbar shows up and takes up precious pixels pushing the content down and making it flicker
