Is there a better way to do it besides the training center? Do i have to spend a lot of CSC if I want a good battle pet? :/
[-Winks]
Your not forced to spend CSC to get a strong battle pet, however; it does take time and dedication.
The cheapest way is through the training center and making sure to do your daily Battle Quests to earn experience points. You can also earn experience points by beatining opponents in the BC, however; the amount you earn is only a significant chunk for the first 10 wins per pet per opponent. Experience points can be spent towards stats. You can earn a substantially amount through daily battle quests to move up pretty quickly.
The -fastest way- is going to be through the use of tomes (i.e. Tome of Fire - theres one for each element). Those are pretty costly at ~3m per tome.
Ouch It looks like it'd take forever then. x_x; Also, how did you get your pet below your avatar like that on the forums? I've only come back after a looong break.
OOF Another gold account thing. x_x;; Well thanks anyway.
[-Winks] If you only have one main battle pet and want to raise them quickly, I would suggest training and battling with your other pets too.
It may sound counter-intuitive, but you get mage amulets and tomes through battling. So if your other pets are also battling/mining those mage amulets and tomes, then you can use them on your main battle pet and bump it up faster. This Google doc was put together by another user that tells you what opponents give out mage amulets and tomes so that you know how many times you have to battle them: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PSNYR8fYYJ7VA-DOBWTFTlVL0QohQHG1jnY1qMBn1Tg/edit#gid=531194931
You will also earn points while battling that you can spend in the battle shop. You can trade in your points for stat-boosting potions in the easy section of the battle shop.
Also, make sure you do your Quentin and Shinwa quests every day. Quentin will give you mage amulets sometimes, and Shinwa sometimes gives out stat boosters. If you ever get a prize from her and see that it's worth more than 300k, it's most likely a stat booster. You can always check on Subetalodge just to be sure.
Another way is to zap a pet with a minion in order to get slime minions. This is not guaranteed, of course, but it's another stat booster that you can get to help move things along. So you'll want to do your Wizard quests every day too so that you have plenty of tokens on hand. Once you get a slime minion, detach it from that pet, use it on your battle pet, and attach another cheap minion to start the process all over again. This works best with a pet who you don't mind changing appearance all the time.
On top of all that, make sure you're reading to your pet and that they have a job. A job will give bonus stats when you collect the income sometimes, including intelligence. Intelligence corresponds to AP (alchemy points), and the more AP you have, the more scrolls you can use. The more scrolls you can use, the higher the opponents you can battle and the faster you will raise your pet's stats through exp and everything mentioned above.
[Edit] One final tip: once you start using tomes, make sure you use the training center and the potions from the easy section of the battle shop mostly for health. This is because health is more expensive to increase using exp, so you'll want to use your exp on all the other stats (except never waste it on level). Plus, more HP means you'll last longer in a battle.
Actually, one more final tip: every now and then, spend csc on auto-training your pet. Especially to bump up health. It only costs 25 csc for a whole day, and you can get a morty card through questing that gives you that 25 csc. The more quests you do, the more likely you will get a morty card. So basically, doing all your quests each day will help you raise your pets stats faster. :)
I could probably have a pet at level 9 or 10 by now, but I like to even out my pets, so I'm currently working on giving all the tomes I get to my Tier 5 pet until they get to level 400, and then I will train them up to Tier 7 while I start giving my tomes to the next pet on the list.
Thus far I haven't had to spend a lot of money on tomes or stat boosters - I just use what I get for free. But somewhere down the line tomes will be harder to come by, and I'll either have to start spending money on my lower-tiered pets or accept that some of them will take a long time to catch up to the others.
From what I can see, you don't have a gold account and you only have 9 pets. This is actually a good starting point. 9 pets is much more manageable than 98 - it will cost you much less to train all of them, and you can just add on when you get more pets. Without a gold account, your training sessions will take slightly longer, but if you really want one, gold accounts are pretty affordable. The cheapest subscription is only $3 a month. But if you don't want to spend real money on the site (which is understandable), you can also buy gold account medals from user shops for sP. Right now the 1 week gold account medal is around 10 million sP, and it's a good investment. If you buy that and do all your quests daily and sell everything extra, you should easily be able to keep buying one each week while still saving up sP. That's what I used to do before I caved and bought a subscription. :)
Ok, but why do you have 98 PETS ASDJFKG;;KJ;????? This is A LOT of info to take in. Thank you, I'm just iffy about that gold account stuff. Also what WHAT WHY'D YOU GIVE ME A GOLD ACCOUNT MEDAL?? THANKS?? ;_;
[-Winks]
No problem! I know I threw a lot of information at you, so if you need any clarification about any of that, don't hesitate to ask. :)
Thanks for the informatin, this was just what I was looking for. Especially the sheet will be useful.

Thank you for that really great write-up. I had no idea about the slime minions being boosters, and I've never really thought about leveling the other pets to help the main battle pet. Good advice!

There's no real way to quickly level stats up, but you can get stat boosting items like tomes which add a lot at once!
My goodness. I love everything you've !
Currently I have a Tier 2 and a Tier 3 pet. The 2 was of my own making and the 3 I'd actually adopted.
Really need to digest what you've said, but just figuring out which stats to train in the Training Center first...
