I briefly asked about it on Discord but I was suggested to open a topic here instead.

There are two search features in the CW Directory I personally missed: searching for warehoused items and excluding capped items from one's search.

The Directory search is already pretty good, but I feel it'd be even better with the addition of those two options, if feasible.

I'd like a little explanation of what those terms mean. Just from those words, I assume warehoused mean there are some available for purchase, but selling is temporarily suspended. While capped means there are none available for purchase, but how is it different from retired?

[edit] oh...and why are those options needed when you can just click "in stock only"?

"In stock only" doesn't show warehoused items (and neither does "retired only") and there's no way to hide capped items from the general search.

why do you want to see warehoused items though? What does that accomplish? How does it help in purchasing CWs? I don't understand.

I'm really not clear what capped means. Can I buy those items? If I can't why aren't they in the retired pile?

Seeing if an item is warehoused rather than fully retired means you know that it's possible for it to come back in the future, even though it's not currently available for purchase. For me personally, if I saw that an item was warehoused, I might be more patient to wait and see if I could pick up a copy later rather than looking for an alternative (or I might look for an sP alternative I can use similarly in the meantime, rather than buying a CW alternative that I don't like as much)

Capped items are ones from before the CW revamp that have a hard limit on how many copies can be sold. If you search for items that are capped and in stock, then you'd have an idea of if you wanted to prioritize buying any of them before they sold out [edit] Oh, as for the actual suggestion, I always support having more search options :)

Full support!

Ah...that makes much more sense now! Thanks for the explanation :). I've never really understood CWs and the many, many different ways they've been talked about, like private, or slotting, or other weirdness and the new stuff has just added complications.

I agree seeing warehoused items and excluding capped items would be awesome! I’m all for more search options for the directory :)

If you exclude capped items how would you be able to tell if they are capped and in stock, so that you can prioritize? I think there are two different definitions of what it means to "be capped" going on here.

If you are excluding capped items because you don't want them showing up in your search why are you doing this? If they are capped-and-available why exclude them do you dislike users who cap items, and why should Subeta help you do this? If they are capped-and-not-available-anymore, then the 'in stock' filter works.

The only thing I desperately need is WL search.
