Please don't apologise for making non-feminine items, I think there's still a huge gap in the market for that ;) Some of the feminine items out there are absolutely gorgeous and I appreciate them for being there, but I really struggle to use them myself for a number of reasons, so your style really suits someone like me! ❤️

I'm also very easily overwhelmed when it comes to social interaction but I'm trying to exist on the forums a little bit more than I used to. I remember the CW system being introduced but I didn't have a stable income back then (I was living off student loans) so I could only dip in from time to time, and mostly I just looked out for what everyone was releasing. I think largely people have only improved since then - artists have refined their styles, new concepts and trends have come into play, the community's a little more relaxed in general. I'm really glad the slotting and pricing changes have come in over time - the whole system's slowly becoming more accessible and that's a great thing! Gotta say I'm in love with rift-themed items.

I haven't released anything myself so I'm not privy to behind-the-scenes info but I think your best bet for items is to make what you're interested in yourself, which is what you're doing already - your audience will find you! Also, Bella is the cutest!! ❤️

I vaguely remember when CWs launched, mainly the companion cube example that was very much straight from portal, that had to be redone as steamwork to avoid copyright :P But everything was so beyond my pocket that I didn't pay attention much for the first several years. I'm not sure I was even joining ping groups and actively slotting on stuff all by myself til like, 2017, maybe even later haha. But personally the bathhouse csc and morty cards have been a huge boon in my participation in the CW economy. Very grateful to the site for being generous with free csc.

Oh man I remember that getting redone, yeah. Feels weird to think the rules were ever different back then, but you can definitely see it in some of the oldest CWs, especially when it comes to art style. I completely understand not getting into CWs until much later, to be honest I think that probably allowed the whole system to stabilise a little bit. I'm glad you eventually made the jump!! I hope it feels good to see your own stuff on site and I can't wait to see what else you make! ❤️

Yes, it feels awesome :D Unfortunately purchases from the cw shops are anonymous (but I understand why) so I can't thank or ""stalk"" to see if someone wears it. I honestly do want to just see someone casually wearing my creations, it would make me feel really proud. So I put messages everywhere that I would love people to show me their outfits if they bought something. I'm keeping an eye out! In the beginning I only had the bad apple appendages really planned, and was going to prioritize making recolors, but that fell on the backburner because I became too addicted to drawing new concepts 0.0 I need to finish my preparations for the recolors because I feel like (or I hope) that people are waiting for neutral/versatile colors like black and white.

Ah, Bella. She used to be extremely shy and scared (a bit like us when it comes to interaction) but around April 2020 she started coming out of her shell really hard. It was unfathomable at the time, but she started getting on the couch on her own and quickly became addicted to getting attention there. It was a rapid descent then, she used to be too scared to even come in my room, and now she's entitled to my bed! About 90% of the time she tries to meow nothing comes out. But with force behind it she can produce a noise that sounds like a squeaky door. She's around 13, but because she was so reclusive before last year I feel like I'm only just getting to know her. :o

I completely understand getting wrapped up in new concepts. Do you have like a theme or a set that's got your attention right now? I know you said the bad apple stuff was based on an OC. If you do end up making recolours, I will be keeping an eye out! I'm sure a neutral set would absolutely do well because black and white will go with so much.

Awwwh! Oh Bella sounds so cute, I'm so glad she's become so comfortable with you!! That's lovely! I can't wait for you to really discover her personality, that's the best thing about pets imo. I don't have my own right now, we lost our family cat a couple of years ago unfortunately. Since then we've had vague ideas for pets but we can't really have one in our flat so they're just potentials for the future. I'd really love to own a house and put up like high shelves and stuff to make little hiding spaces for cats if we do end up with another!

Oh wow, thank you for buying! :D Well when you do make an avatar with it, I'd love to see of course. <3 I really feel you on wearing one avatar for a long time. Once you spend such a long time on it and get it to look just right you want to get the bang for your buck with it. I used to make avatars more often but these days I tend to wear one for weeks myself. I know some people who change av's daily and it blows my mind.

All the cws I've released so far except the have been based on my one same OC xD (I'm wearing them as my av now!) I'm slowing down a lot on new content, I just drew a different set of horns, wings and tail that are for my friend's oc. I have another symbol shirt decal in queue right now, I'm most excited about trying to get this one on since I've wanted it probably the entire time I've been on this site. 8) The main thing slowing me down is deciding on a concrete naming scheme for the recolors, I first intend to do bad apple recolors of all the fantasy bases (light red through hot pink) so I'm still thinking about descriptor names and the descriptions themselves.

Aw, oh no, I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I think the reason Bella has come out of her shell is because my other cat unexpectedly passed last year, almost a year ago now, so she became an only cat. I hope you can get more cats some day. I've had cats my whole life and I love them a lot. 🐱 <3

No problem, I'm wearing the jacket now! I'll probably change my avatar for Survival soon but who knows when I'll actually get around to it, rifling through my wardrobe for a good combo takes hours ;) Ultra respect for people who do this regularly and continually make stellar avatars XD I was a Crobat with scattered papers around them for like 4-5 years while I was on and off the site! Also the longterm wearables thing is such a mood! I can't tell you the amount of times I've found a new item to love and just made several different avatars based around that one item for months.

Your shirt decals are a great idea too, I'm really starting to love items that layer over existing clothes to give them a bit more pop! Oooooh naming stuff is so hard!! Especially so when it's permanent. I actually have a pet like that onsite but I'm planning on changing his name once I figure out what it is X'D I've seen other sets around that've changed their names over time or maybe the releaser forgot their formatting for the name and ngl, it's a little frustrating to follow. I hope you find your naming conventions soon! ❤️ It's a little hellish to get stuck on that when you have a concept you wanna get out, but getting it right will feel great!

Really happy to see the jacket worn <3 It sounds like we have the exact same process for avatars, take hours to build it and then wear it for weeks xD I spent hours on my current Valentine's one but I know soon I will be stripping completely to watch strains. Ones with stages that cover your av completely like Doom Bloom are fun to fiddle with in the wardrobe at the various stages. Right now I'm obsessed with it's my favorite shoe.. finally made an av without them but they'll be back no doubt.

Honestly I'm torn between writing original descriptions for recolors or using song lyrics that related to the oc that the original copy was made for. Technically I did use a song lyric already for but I'm worried about running out of lyrics depending on how many oddly specific recolors people might be interested in beyond the fantasy base colors.

I really struggle to match good shoes with an outfit, I definitely need more variety in my wardrobe XD I was trying to figure out a look that had a shirt draped off one shoulder for survival but I ended up dressing myself as Jackson instead haha. Oh I totally get you on the lyrics. Would you prefer all the lyrics to have some sort of eye reference in there? If not, I'm sure you'd never run out of good phrases to use - there are so many ways you can split up a song :D I don't think there's a bad way to do it, personally, and you could swap between lyrics and other descriptions as you go along.

The name is obviously a placeholder but essentially I had a bunch of characters who were pirate / ocean / navy themed, including his premise and a potential design, long before I had a name for him. I love hydrus legeica so I thought bringing him to Subeta would be the perfect opportunity to expand on him a bit more, but all I have to work with right now is this vibe that he used to be an uptight navy officer who was climbing his way through the ranks until he ungraciously got thrown out. To get revenge on the person who caused his dismissal and earn his title back, he begrudgingly allies with a bunch of pirates who think he's an ass so that's their nickname for him. He's not all that bothered about changing their opinion ;)

thank you as well! oh yeah haha I tend to change my avatar pretty often during survival to accommodate each stage of a skin, just haven't changed it again in a little while since something came up irl and it's been hard to focus lately :( I've got a doctor appointment on tuesday, hopefully that will be the last of that.

It's just for consistency across the bad apples, my only requirement for the lyrics is that it's all from the same musical artist and that the lyric has importance to the character :) Which shouldn't be too hard since I've intertwined them greatly. I've put all that on the backburner once again though as I'm preparing the cws for my friend, her birthday is in 3 weeks so I'll be attempting to get them on soonish in case I need to deal with denials. There will be 5 cws, a big birthday bonanza, it may be over the top but I wanted to xD new horns, wings and tail, a recolor of the demon orb, and a recolor of the heart in a jar.

I was really excited to get those CWs onsite, and they went through the first time without a hitch! Her OC is actually the adoptive brother of mine and these two descriptions reference each other. They're both demons but come from different circles of hell and we develop them together a lot, especially during last year. I didn't get to catch the pawn shop when it opened and I didn't see any WL items in there, I even combed through the pages seeing if anything else caught my eye but decided against buying. Instead at that time I bought a couple of the cheapest CWs that were on my WL from normal shops so I still treated myself to new stuff :D

Thank you :D I love Bella every day. Recently I curled up with her on the bed to get down on her level and she ran at me and gave me a loving headbutt in the middle of my forehead before I had time to react. All I could do was shut my eyes XD
