I adopted Pumpkin the genderless Chibi Experiment from the pound on a bit of a whim.

Initially a complete change was intended; species, color and name. But now that I have them, I get this weirdly strong feeling that they are perfectly fine, name and all.
So okay, I'm willing to shrug and put aside the change related plans, but now I'm at a bit of a sticking point. I'm planning to make Pumpkin a member of my {Supers Storyline} --details on my profile-- as a member of NEUTRAL. But I have no idea what Pumpkin's superpower would be. If it's name related... what superpower would be related to a pumpkin? If 'Pumpkin' turns out to be an informal nickname and not necessarily related to their Superpower, what power seems to fit their appearance?
I considered Darkness, but there's already a Dark related Super with a very solid background as to why that is. So I turn to the creative minds of Subeta. What superpower sounds like a good fit?
For better or worse, here are two lists of Superpowers: Supernatural Powers and Superhero Data Base

Do you have a Nature or Plant Related Super? Maybe they can control plants, even focus on gourds/squash (like pumpkins) and vines. [Adding] PUMPKIN ARMOR??? :)
Or even a tiny lil' witch-like character?
'Course 'Pumpkin' can just be a term of endearment for a child, or a younger member of the team who winds up getting treated like a little sibling-role in the group.
Gib me all yer
had some cute ideas! I totally agree with the viewpoint of maybe pumpkin is a poke fun name which would leave powers open to just about anything.
For more pumpkin related things, when I think of pumpkins my first thought is always something like light and shadows. Depending on how in-depth you want to be, it could be said to reason they could control shadows because pumpkins are given light to create them. Or even light in general. Maybe even power to set things on fire?
For powers, you could go with a headless horseman sort of theme, just chibi and cute cus it's just a lil Pumpkin.
This particular experiment has a good styling for a 'headless horseman,' with that mask-esque head that doesn't match the rest of the body. The headless horseman could have the added bonus of shadow and fire-based powers.
Pumpkin's power should totally be the animation of inanimate objects. They at first could only manipulate plants (TC could be all the cute fruit/veggie minions), but with practice, they were able to also convert other mundane objects (Minions that look like objects). Lots of fun TC fodder.
Pumpkin- Pumping life into objects they refer to as kin. PUMP..KIN and because their first accidental display of power was making a jack-o-lantern talk.
Oh my, I like that idea a lot! Thank you. :D
