Sorry if this is not the correct place or if this has been explained somewhere else. I've read the most recent posts about spotlight and I didn't find the answer to this question.

if you take a look at the previous winners, you will see that some days don't have a spotlight winner.

Is this new about spotlight? Or am I mistaken somehow?

iirc there aren't enough pets in the queue to have a winner every day and meet the cool down preventing users from winning back-to-back, so it got reduced down to whatever it is now (every other day?)

i am 99% sure there was a staff post on this, but i'm not super sure where it is

here it is! it was a news post in october :D was getting kinda bothered that i couldn't find it + thought i had made it up in my head but then i realized i could just look for a news post around the time when the spotlight stopped being a daily thing x)
