I'm sure this has probably been suggested before, but I don't see one currently so here it goes:
There should be a way to make up days missed from Melody/Lumineve. A lot of people struggle to remember every single day and there's nothing more frustrating and annoying during this holiday than forgetting a day of Melody. I think it'd be a good currency sink to be able to pay (sP or CSC) to make up a missed day. Say, the next day, you log in, collect Melody and realize "oh heck, I missed a day!" and be able to just pay the sum and keep going. Being half-way through and missing a day SUCKS when you're trying to get the achievements.
I don't know what would be a fair price, but I know currency sinks are definitely needed to maintain a functional economy on these kinds of sites, and if there was a CSC option, could possibly benefit the site monetarily.
This is just a vague idea. I certainly welcome anyone else's input and helpful suggestions pertaining to this suggestion.

I don't mean this as a pay to win tactic. I mean this as a way to make the achievement more available to those of us with memory issues. The calendars, the alarms, those don't always help. I would like to clarify that point. I do think there should be a limit to it, not like a "you can just skip half the days and pay for them later".
While I definitely understand the frustration of missing a day (I've been there), and I do think having CSC sinks on site is in-general a good idea, no support for this suggestion.
I think it edges a bit too far into the pay-to-win mentality, vs the commitment aspect. This is a reward for people who are able to get on daily, not a guarantee for anyone with disposable income.
I am sorry if you missed a day this month. I know every time I miss a day for the bathhouse I kick myself. But unless the site is physically down, I don't support venues to reset a streak.
There are so many ways to set up reminders. From the Melody widget, to ping groups. Changing your browser home page to Melody, or your Subeta bookmark to Melody. Using calendar apps on your phone or email, setting a text message reminder, or even a phone call reminder.
Sure its discouraging when we miss, but that's part of the game, part of what makes it an actual achievement when you do manage to get it done.

I sympathize. Checking the bathhouse pools is one of the first things I usually do when the day turns over on Subeta, but one day my routine was interrupted and I never got around to it. By the time I realized, it was too late. Now I'm so paranoid about actually missing it once that I check several times a day!
However, I agree with and on this. Like the bathhouse, this is meant to award users who log in daily and participate in the site. Being able to circumvent that if you have enough cash - even with a limit on how often you could do this - would change the spirit of the game.
I have the Melody widget prominently placed on my sidebar to avoid missing her, and it helps me avoid the bathhouse paranoia. Another site that I visit rarely also has a daily that I kept missing out on, so I added it as a checklist item to my productivity app. That way when I check to see what else I'm supposed to be doing, I'm reminded to swing by that site really quickly and get it done. If your reminders and alarms are not helping you, perhaps you just haven't found the right reminder or timing that works for you and your lifestyle.
Melody differs from the bathhouse in that once the month is over, you don't get a second chance at the achievements for the year, and that can be really disappointing. But in the grand scheme of things, they are just two achievements. They won't add much to the 1000+ achievements you already have, and though it seems like a long time from now, next year you'll have the opportunity to try again for the new achievements. Neither achievement comes with a forum title or otherwise unobtainable item. If your goal is the Essence of Melody, these tend to be really cheap in January thanks to everyone who got one and didn't want it. "Really cheap" is not the same as free, of course, but it's also not out of reach.
This is something that I think needs to stay how it is. I've always missed a day in the past so I completely understand how it feels (though I'm doing it for the Essence of Melody). But has some great suggestions regarding the reminder on a productivity app. I'm a part of the ping group for Melody so as long as I get on Subeta, I'll never forget to visit.
Maybe you could try some other things to remind you or do it first thing when you wake up if you're having problems remembering?
I have seizures which cause memory issues, and I do not support this Suggestion. Achievements are meant to be achievements, and like all achievements some are meant to be harder than others, and some will be harder to do for some users than others.
There are ways to work around this particular Achievement to make sure that you get it.
Here is one method, the one I use. I regularly buy Old Box of Ornaments and make it a habit. I don't need them. I give them to new players so they can decorate their tree/quicksell them for operating scrip, or open them and sell/fragmentize what I get. This way I am always visiting Melody. Sometimes the visit doesn't result in a new box, but the day's Luminaire gift. On days when my memory is particularly bad i will start buying Scratchcards and playing Carnival games as their timers are approximate measures for when I can visit Melody next.
I support this when site errors would prevent someone to access the site. We had years where on some days, it was impossible to access the site for hours at a time.
Unfortunately, we haven't got any major site outage this December, so that's a big fat no support for 2020. However, my stance could change if we got a massive glitch preventing access to the site.
Allowing do-overs for reasons such as "I forgot" would devalue the actual achievement. Unlike the bathhouse, we have widgets, and we have ping groups. We all forget things, and we don't have the opportunity to go and "do-over" - we cant extend holidays if we forgot to get an infection during Survival, or make some more Harvest Potions. At some point, there need to be consequences for forgetting.
