So I have a vault FULL of stat boosters (117 to be exact), of a wide variety. My current battle pet has finally reached T7 and I didn't know when I should start using boosters on her. Should I wait (since I am over half-way to T8 as is) or should I use them now? Level: 345 Strength: 862 Defense: 862 Health: 862 Speed: 861

Currently she is training in speed, but I am trying to train her as evenly as I can. I train every few hours as allowed by the training center (I do not auto-train as I can't afford that option) but wasn't sure if it was worth using the boosters to get her to a higher tier.

Watch for that moment... and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap.

We were talking about this in another thread regarding tome stat boosters. The purpose of tomes and all other stat boosters is to raise your stats fast. Unlike the training center that makes you wait, or battle quests where you can only do up to 30 a day, you can use boosters whenever and how ever many you can afford. Fast usually means expensive.

It depends on your goals - do you want to level up as quickly as possible or do you want to level up as economically possible? The only time boosters are a more economical option are when training only gives you a couple of sessions a day and/or when exp cost triples at T13.

I don't bother with the training center anymore. I rather spend my money on boosters and use battle exp to level them up.

These are the common reasons people will wait before using boosters

  1. They like to see a huge jump in stats right away/ want to skip over tiers
  2. They wait until a site event as a "plan b" to beat a certain opponent
  3. If they have multiple pets, they wait to see which pet can benefit from a boost to squeeze more wins in on a challenger
  4. They are getting close to T13 where the cost of exp triples.

Personally I waited until I had enough stat boosters to max my pet in a couple days. I used 7433 boosters over the course of three days. In retrospect it likely would have been more economical to use them as I went along because then I could have done more battle quests and got more experience and leveled a bit faster. It really depends on your goals though. If you enjoy battling and want to participate in events then I would suggest using them soooner then later as then you can get more wins and get more prizes from those wins.

So I ended up using them all on her now. I got a bunch of achievements from it and she is a lot closer to T8 than she had been before, but I'm still not quite there. Battle quests and regular quests for boosts it is.

Watch for that moment... and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap.

This info might be more useful for someone else, but I've also read some users wait until T10 to use boosters because that's when they feel things get really slow. Imo the end of T7/beginning of T8 was really slow so I used a few then, but after upgrading weapons, I can slam through Battle Quests 16-20 and occasionally notch a win /22 if Cursed Effigy and Slaughtersaurus show up. Minimal boosters + training + XP for all non-health stats got me through most of T8 in about 6 weeks, so it might be worth it to save them in the future for later. If you don't already have Soma Tablets and a good attacker, that's like the cost of 20 tomes (assuming ~3m sP) for a lot of xP back.

However, ultimately I think it's better to play in a way that you enjoy, even if it's not the most efficient. This post sums it up: here
