Due to some computer issues I no longer have Photoshop 7 on my desktop and my computer doesn't have a disc drive so I can't reinstall PS the normal way. I've been looking for sites to safely download it from. Any suggestions? I can use my own activation code from the cd.
I've used the actual photoshop site itself with success.
Really? I didn't think they'd have it on there for free.
adobe has their creative cloud situation which is pretty neat like a pay as you go program. you'd always be up to date on photoshop aswell.
i would contact adobe support though, for sure
Ugh. I don't want to pay a subscription. Especially if I already own the program. I'm just looking for a safe place to DL it so I can have it like I normally do.
I'd make an account with adobe and create a support ticket, they probably have an archive of past versions. i totally feel ya, programs are sooo spendy
I'll do it tomorrow. I migt have to cave and buy an external cd drive even though i don't want to do that for one program.
Might turn out more useful in the future, if that's what it takes. Hopefully support can hook you up!
i just went through their site and cant find anything on past versions, which makes sense; pushing the creative cloud.
I still have Fire Alpaca for now. It's harder for me to use than PS but it's better than nothing. I normally only use it for the line art stabilizer.
I've never even heard of it, but i make clothes for second life, and photoshop does the job lol gonna look into it though, there is a surprising amount of line work.
Yep it's free too. It was recommended to me when I was asking around for help with lines. I don't have the steadiest hand when it comes to tablets. So slippery!
I'll definitely look into it! Photoshop has a smoothing feature that i use frequently, but it kind of drags and its a little inconvenient
You must be using one of the newer versions. PS7 doesn't have it at all.
yeah, i use the creative cloud, so i have photoshop 2021 its pretty worth it imo
I guess. Still seems like a rip-off to me.
There aren't any other options apparently lol i was gonna see how much standalone PS was , and its only monthly now, so weird.
I've heard a lot of people like Sai. I think I tried the trial but couldn't get into it. And a lot of bigtime artists use Illustrator.
i havent heard of sai lol i really havent branched out though, i use procreate on my galaxy tab tho
I have a tablet but it;s the cheap one. I doubt I'd be able to do anything good on it. Not that I'm that good of an artist to make it work anyway.
The main reason I'm so anal about getting PS back on my comp is because I have a gift commission for someone on Aywas and I want to finish it for her before Christmas. Thankfully, she's being really understanding about it but I still hate making her wait. I color/paint best with it. Like I said, I normally use FA for lines and simple coloring. I'm not used to doing anything fancy in it.
