Ok so for the last two-four years Ive had literally no issue decorating on mobile. It went so well I was looking forward to this year. But now...ugh.
You have to click and hold to move things and its unreliable/works maybe 40% of the time. The rest of it you get nothing, move it like a tiny bit, or are Constantly grabbing items ya dont want to move.
Im aboug to give up or try again and throw my ipad out a window. Its taken me an hour to get the little bit I have there. Its impossible and Im so annoyed -cries-
Could we go back to however you had it before? Maybe update it to work better like then? At least give us a lock button for things we have in place. That is by far the most frustrating bit with this. Even items nowhere near what I try and click are somehow activated and moved.
I just dont see how people on tablets/phones can even do much now.
Btw I am using Safari, but also have chrome. In the past Id have used puffin (it had a mouse built in) but it is no longer usable due to the company shutting it down. So now I have no alt for when click/drag dont work....like right now.

Tree decorating works exactly the same as last year; the code has not been updated at all for several years. I am sorry to hear it is not working on your mobile device anymore. I hear you on how frustrating that is. Are you able to decorate your tree on a non-mobile device at all, or is the iPad all you have?
If mobile is all you have, I would recommend just trying another mobile browser such as Firefox, and hoping that it works better there. (P.S. I really liked Puffin too - sad that it's gone now due to Apple App Store restrictions.)
Unfortunately, this is the best answer I can give this year. The tree decorating tool is in dire need of a rewrite (as mentioned, the code hasn't been touched in years, so it is.. .not too surprising that newer browser/device versions may no longer be supporting it properly) - we unfortunately cannot consider rewriting it for this Luminaire, but hopefully next year we'll be in a better place to do so.

Thats so weird that it worked up until now then, I guess I was just lucky. It may have been that I made it work on puffin with the cursor, so maybe its partially me being unsure what ways I did such workarounds.
Could have sworn it was all good on safari a year ago, but again as you said browser updates happen.
Also right ;u; I could play mobile games not made for said devices that way. It was such a neat implementation. Maybe something else will come along to take its place.
Np on no fixes this year, its been nuts after all. Im just glad to hear there are plans to upgrade it in the future :) Im always impressed how much is updated here even if I step away for a month. Always some new feature or upgrade like the wardrobe fixes.
So thank you again for the reply/suggestion of another browser.
I may be able to steal a few min on my moms work pc, this atm is all I own sadly. (My pc gave out after too many years of life lol)
