I found some threads on this topic but none had a really finite answer so I'm hoping for the best! xD Can I get a Neela from the Zapper?

I've kind of set my mind to having Beidr be an Angelic Neela, and since I'm zapping all the time anyway I'm wondering if I should continue to zap him and hope to save a bit, or just take the plunge and save up to morph him xD

@ Hadaya I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure the answer is no.

I zap frequently and have been doing so for a long time, and I can't remember ever getting a neela zap. Bhakoru, yes. Bumbus, yes. But neela? No.

What sets it apart from other species is that it is only attainable through the Cash Shop, which is what makes me think that it is likely not a zappable species.

The good news is that the "Black Friday" sale is supposed to start on Monday (the Monday after Black Friday), and it is very likely that you will be able to get both a neela elixir and an angelic potion at half the cost you would otherwise.

[Edit] After thinking about it further, I've changed my mind. Now I feel almost certain that I have gotten a neela zap or two before. It's not so much the zap itself I remember as the reluctance to keep zapping after.

Regardless, I will say that even if it is possible, it may take a long time to actually get a neela zap. Not only is it competing with all the other possible species and the 48 experiments, but also all stat, color change, minion, inventory, and do nothing zaps that are possible. If you can swing it, just buying the elixir on Monday is probably a better route.

And angelic is absolutely not zappable, which is backed up in the FAQs. I assume you already knew that because you didn't ask, but I wanted to make it clear just in case. :)

I know it's not really the best method to try and zap for one, but I felt that if possible at all, I might continue to try until I can get my hands on an Elixir! The sale sounds good though, so maybe I'll just have to wait until then!

I would have never thought of that! I don't think I've ever filed a ticket to be honest...

In a surprising turn of events, I just adopted an Angelic Neela from the pound! xD So I'll just keep zapping Beidr and then possibly adopt him out :D
