Gift Center - Old Gifts

For some random reason I decided to look back at old gifts and noticed i actually had a handful i never opened from years ago.
I brought it up in the shoutbox.....and 3 people at that given time also had at least one old box. I'm sure anyone that's taken a long hiatus at some point mass deleted messages and has a missed box from some odd year.
With the drop down now spanning back 15 years...it would be convenient if there was an option to alert you on the gift page that you have an old unopened gift box vs. having to look back each year.
How are you getting to the received/unopened gifts in the gift center? I don't see an option to view mine.
Nonetheless, I would support something that would let people know they have unopened gifts. During site events I often end up accidentally deleting notifications. I don't think a second notification would work well, but maybe gifts could be tied to sMail somehow, and a little indicator could be added to the site whenever we have unopened sMail or presents.

Since I am terible about tracking my events I would really like something that let me know on the gift page that I had missed one. I like the drop down for selecting a month and year since it makes it easy to go back and see who sent what when but it would be nice if all unopened boxes were just automatically visible. Or at least it would be nice for someone like me who doesn't get that many, Luminaire is my peak with maybe twenty. But I remember there are some users who host events and have people send things through the gift center and having all the unopened boxes automatically visible would probably be a nightmare for them. So maybe if it was a box we could check or uncheck that would show all unopened boxes.
