I have 139 ap- what scrolls should I purchase? Best all-around solid weapon set that doesn’t cost billions of sp? So thankful for any and all advice. I looked at some of the info on this forum but most of it is unattainable either in cost or availability.

Asking for a set somewhere between 0 and billions, without telling us anything about what you own is probablby not going to get you far.

Also, there are budget guides in the set advice sub forum.

At tier 11 it really depends on what you're trying to achieve. When you just reach tier 11, you can go for some all round starter weapons. But after you get those, you'll need to get weapons to beat specific opponents with. At that point you can't really get away with just one set. A set which works for one opponent can be completely useless for another opponent. One of the tier 11 starter weapons which I'd recommend is the . It's stats are a bit spread out, which make it an okish choice, but eventually you'll want weapons that focus on only one or two icon types.

Hey you mentioned at the beginning of T11, what if you’re at the end? I’m 890 away from 12... I do have the paintbrush blades already. Along with plague claw, rapier of error, large gutting knife, scientist specs, reviver of the Lion, sentinel and Phoenix quill. Is there any one specific thing I should focus on adding once I hit t12? I’ve hit my cut off for ability to defeat higher opponents so I’m struggling to get xp.

Not much changes from T11 to T12

There's only a handful of weapons that scale to T12+ or that you have to be T12 to use.

Okay thank you! I’m having a hard time with a lot of opponents that have the recommendation for even t8. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong at all lol. It’s frustrating.

Are you adjusting your set for those opponents? You really can't get away with a generic set for all opponents at T11.

Two things you really want to work on earning are the Volatile Energized Mecha and Intricate Energized Helmet. They're available from combining the components in the Battle Shop. The Intricate Energized Helmet will replace your Scientist Specs.

Apart from the Paintbrush Blades, Plague Claw, Reviver of the Lion, and Phoenix Quill, you've outgrown a lot of your weapons.

Some of the cheaper weapons you can buy are: -Recycle Blaster blasts one of your opponent's weapons into junk -Captured Eternal Flame is a good bomb -Cursed Liquid Fire Torch is a fire blocker -Ice King Clawed Gloves is an ice blocker -Prodigys Eyeball is a water blocker -Old Ragged Axe is a water and wind blocker -Dungarde Axe is a light blocker

Some of the pricier buyable weapons that are good to have are: -Shinwas Temple Shard blocks 100% of your opponent's attack icons for one turn -Unstable Sample Syringe for magma and ice blocking -Replica Minotaur Knocker for earth blocking (you can get this from finishing the 2012 bobblehead collection) -Swashbuckle for wind blocking (this would be the best wind blocker you can buy) -Nachos Secret Stuff is a good bomb -Soma Tablets also blasts one of your opponent's weapons into junk

Weapons you can earn: -Lucent (Broken) is available in the Battle Shop -Cronus Blade is available after defeating Meatslab, the Furious five times -Manifesting Weapon is achieved after defeating Rouland ten times during Morostide -Super Slappy Jelly Hand, Maniacal Essence, and Maniacal Slappy Hand are available from Gelly War loot

The higher tiers are where battling can get expensive because success is usually determined by how diverse your armory is. A lot of it comes down to which weapons and scrolls you have. Most of us tend to decide which weapons to use against opponents by determining which icons need to be blocked (that's why I listed which the blocked icon types above). Take Biting Cake for example, it does a lot of dark, magma, and earth icons so you're going to want to use weapons (and/or scrolls) that would block those icons to help you survive the longest you possibly can in battle. The more icons the weapon blocks, the better your defense will be and the slower your health will go down (healing also helps with this).

Putting that all together, I would recommend this as your main set for now until you can earn anything else you want: If that's a bit too much to spend up front, Blackmoons War Plate is a decent substitute for the Shinwas Temple Shard and one of the cheaper weapons of your choice can substitute for the Prodigys Eyeball (I would strongly advise choosing a weapon that can heal each turn).

this is a little off topic but training hp helps a lot in soaking the damage with healing.

I just now made the intricate energized helmet, waiting to buy the component to make the mecha... I have enough to make a second helmet, will I be needing both?

Ooh I do have the replica Minotaur knocker and recycle blaster in my armory, they didn’t seem to do much for me so I removed them from my set a while ago. Maybe I’m not using them at the right time...

How about scrolls? Do they make enough difference? I have 122 ap and my current set is 112. The ones I use most are divine denizhen, fatal fire, sancturia exodin and heavens cannon, but I have others too.

Also should I want to eventually have all the weapons you listed in my armory to swap them or do some cancel others out?

I haven’t been, I don’t know how to tell what opponents do really. I didn’t have a problem up until now though.

Yeah I’m slowly working on that. Training is pretty lengthy now, but I’ve been using my xp to bring it up. Currently working with Hp 2,560 Str 4000 Def 2327 Spd 2250 I wanted to bring my def and hp the most so that’s what I’ve been working on. Lol

Yes, you should absolutely get both!

Usually I start a battle with Mecha + 100% freezer, then blast on the second turn with Recycle Blaster and Soma Tablets, then battle with my main two attackers for the rest of the battle until I need to heal. Sometimes it isn't that easy and requires a bit more strategy, but that routine gets me through most battles.

Scrolls are very important. You're going to want to upgrade your Divine Denizhen to an Aftershocks Scroll at some point. Apart from that, I like using Shriek of Despair for freezing, Cobalt Eternal/Sancturia Exodin for defense, and Fatal Fire as a bomb scroll (but it also has really good fire and dark defense). Morosbane is also a good bomb scroll and super cheap right now. You can even earn Gift of the Forj from defeating Foj Matriarch, the Erupting five times, which is my favorite scroll.

You don't have to buy them all, but they are good suggestions in case you need an affordable option to block a particular icon. The most important ones you can buy, in my opinion, are Unstable Sample Syringe, Swashbuckle, Cursed Liquid Fire Torch, Prodigys Eyeball, Captured Eternal Flame, Shinwas Temple Shard, and Soma Tablets. I still use all of them to some extent.

yeah :) a better word would be spending exp on hp. training hp alone at that stage is very lengthy and not economical so to speak 😂 i was told to focus on hp by people for budget battler route. surprisingly, it helps a lot in general and sometimes even beating opponent at earlier tier than recommended without proper weapon. but t11-12 opponent does require proper weapon or scrolls.

cobalt eternal and fatal fire scroll are both very helpful. fatal fire especially has a lot of value as dark blocker since good dark blocker weapon is very very expensive. it helps beating things like malerias familiar. helpful with flamagia too. alhough perilous whirlpool might be better for flamagia since it got freezing change, and flamagia doesnt deal dark.

Feather Explosion Scroll takes 5 more AP than Aftershocks, but costs significantly less if you don’t want to spend a chunk on Afterschocks just yet.

Looks like you got tons of good advice already! At the end of tier 11 and onwards, you'll want to get different weapons that block certain elements. In addition to what was mentioned already, I've got some other ones to add: Dark Goddess Rod: blocks light. You get it from an achievement, I think for hitting tier 13. The Ether: blocks physical. It's sold in the millionaire center. Ornamented Hook Swords: blocks earth. Sold in the millionaire center. I use this as a replacement for the minotaur knocker. Natasha: blocks fire. Sold in the millionare center. Pretty expensive, so I wouldn't get this first. Then, keep an eye out for any gelatin wars. During a gelatin war, you'll be able to win a Hydragellos Maniacal Core. Which is combined into Maniacal Essence which blocks dark. It can also be combined into the Maniacal Slappy Hand. Although we haven't had any in a while, try to participate in any plot-like events, since they usually have some kind of weapon rewards, or unique opponents that drop some really good weapons.
