My fiancee and I are determined to have a kick ass Halloween to forget about all the crazy negativity happening in the world right now. We're going to have a movie night together with my adopted brother and our cats (and a ton of pizza and junk food!) We're planning to fill the entire night with movies via DVD, Tubi, Hulu, and possibly Netflix if we renew the subscription. So does anyone have any horror movie recommendations for us? We prefer paranormal and maybe parody, since slashers aren't particularly our favorite. Any other free streaming services we should look into? Lay it on me folks.

Check out the Good drama site. it has many ads -i use it with an ad blocker so it's fine. The shows/movies are from East Asia, and there are many genres, you can choose which one you like. ;) You watch for free, but everything is split into parts of about 15 minutes. The House of the Disappeared -i'm not sure if it's there, but watch it if you find it. it's not a parody and not slasher.

SPOILER (click to toggle) It's similar to the movie The Others with Nicole Kidman, which you should also watch if you didn't.

I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.

if you did a trial of Shudder a funny one on there is called Another Evil. It's a paranormal comedy. The Innkeepers is also good, another paranormal movie that's not so heavy on the comedy as Another Evil, but is still funny! My absolute favorite movie is May. Not paranormal but its more of a black comedy and I relate to her character so much. The Innkeepers and May are free to stream on Tubi or Vudu or IMDB or something.

I don't really know any parodies but here some of my favorite paranormal horror movies: Hereditary, The Orphanage, The Witch, The Conjuring, Sinister, Insidious (most things by Blumhouse tbh). I'm not sure where they stream but they're popular movies so they should be pretty easy to find!

My go-to parody is Dracula: Dead and Loving it because Mel Brooks spoofing Dracula films, and Leslie Nielsen played Dracula. You can't get much better for a horror movie spoof.
