I've been gone for a long time, after I discovered my pets names were changed while I was away for university (still salty about that tbh). I read on FB that you can now change your pets names, so I thought I'd pop in again and take a look. I don't remember what I used to do on the site, I just know I loved my pets and took great pride in them (and their names).

So, what's going on, what is new, what is there to do? I think most of the friends I made back in the day don't play anymore mh...

Hello Welcome back. Other than the pet name changes it would be hard for me to say what has changed since you were gone.

The wardrobe has been a pretty recent change. And it still has many issues in my opinion. But if you find anything wrong with it you can start a thread here. They have asked us to start a new thread for each problem.

The Rift is pretty new as well. If you send a pet in it will disappear for a time but it always come home so don't worry. It will also come back either a new color or rift species if its current species doesn't have a rift color.

I noticed one of your pet was named Toby. with the period at the end. At some point I'm not sure when links to these pet started breaking due to changes in the coding. Some links to the pet will work and others won't. Since this was a problem Subeta didn't want to fix they changed the naming rules and it is no longer possible to create a pet with a period at the end of their name. So congrats you have a very special pet.

To encourage us to change the names of our pets to ones that would work with the new coding. Everyone who had a pet like this was given a free pet name change that they could request with a ticket. Since the recent change to non unique pet names they have had to make changes to pet profile link and it seems to me that links to these old names are working better. But if you are interested you can still file a ticket to have that one pets name changed without it affecting your one name change a week limit.

I had three pets like this and it took me a while to debate the pros and cons because once you change that name there is no going back. Good luck with your decision.

Oh that's cool, I created Toby because of my irl dog Toby (who is almost 16yo now), and only the name with the . was free haha! I think as long as they don't make me change it, I'll just leave it at that - with the other names I just removed the numbers that were added while I was inactive, as I do really like the names!

I have no idea what Morostide is, I'll have to look that up :o

If your an achievement or forum title collector you should check out the achievements for the Morostide and Fireside ones. I include Fireside because there is a Fireside achievement that uses pumpkins from Morostide.

Its the one called Fantines Pies and it gives you the "Sweet as Pie" forum title. You could also use the pumpkins for the Charitable achievement.

thank you so much! I've been working on the pumpkin achievements, I'm still missing a lot of them from my collection, so that's what I'm trying to do at the moment :D

I'm not sure what month you started but if you ping and there is room in the month you joined Jensen will add your trick or treat link to the list and random people will use it. For every fifth user to Tot on your account you get a Tot item also.

If you are looking to collect certain items they are only available from certain users based on the month they joined. So it is also a great way to get the specific items you are looking for since the items you get Toting depend on the month a player joined. I definitely use this thread to try for specific items.

Hi! I sort of did the same that you did - left for years, pets name changed for half my pets, got discouraged, eventually started reexploring once names could be changed again.

Did you ever use the oekaki on here? I think the first time I stopped using this site was when that got closed. Drawing boards are fun.

no I never did! I had a lot of friends I knew from other sides, and I mostly just talked to them and painted my pets. I was too afraid to go on the boards I think because my English wasn't that good xD

my first language is German! I am much more comfortable with writing/talking English now though, so I don't mind forums anymore xD

welcome back and omg I feel you on being salty about getting your pet names taken ;_; I had one of my pets named Fahrenheit and it was swiftly jacked when I took a hiatus but I guess that's the way of the world~ or I guess it was xD now we can all live in harmony and have the names we want WHOO

As far as what I like to do on here since coming back myself, I like stalking around on the forums and daydreaming about characters for my pets hehe I even joined a forum group on here that has a discord that is all about developing your pets and working on them whether that be through TCs (my fav), coding up their pages, art, writing, etc~ and that's been my favorite pastime recently! Other than that sometimes I'll find the strength to make a cool HA although I try not to do that often bc it results in me spending a lot of CSC on custom wearables ;_;

haha yes I think that's why I spend more time here now! When I used to log in and see my "ruined" pet names I was so angry and sad at the same time. I was so proud of them! At least I got to rename them to their original names.

I found that I am a bit too lazy to work on my pets, but I've now finished Toby and Osy's profiles, we'll see if I will keep that up xD
