Howdy, since this is quite obviously the best month of the year - partially because halloween and the movie Hocus Pocus, but mostly because it’s my birthday month and yes I’m that vain~ I thought I’d host a little event for all the people that have bought designs/commissions from me as a thank you.
There will be three different events with varying rewards~
event 1 - October 5-12 (11:59 PM Subeta Time) event 2 - October 13-21 (11:59 PM Subeta Time) event 3 - October 22-29 (11:59 PM Subeta Time
How do I enter? I’m glad you asked, if you have bought a design/commission from me in the past - even if it hasn’t been released yet (I’ve pinged everyone that has to date) just respond to this thread (at least once) before the end of the event. I also encourage you to join
If you haven't been able or won't be able to afford one of my designs, don't worry, you're more then welcome to enter the second & third event! Rewards won't be as interesting but it's still free stuff~

Rules:
To enter event 1 - you MUST have bought something from me in the past, or buy something from me before the event ends. Doesn’t need to be submitted.
To enter event 2 - you can’t be someone who entered event 1.
Anyone can enter event 3.
I might use your cw idea…so by posting it you’re giving me permission. I’ll still ask you if I do, but…yeah. Event # 3
Open to everyone. Post your best dressed halloween themed HA. It can be anything from spooky to cute so long as it follows the theme of a halloween costume.
First place will get 1000 csc Second place will get 500 csc Third place will get a cw from a pool of old cws I’ve released over the years.
(first and second place are free to forgo the csc for a cw from the pool)

I'm pretty bad at coming up with my own ideas for CW's but I'll give it a shot!
Keeping in the spirit of Halloween and being a huge horror fanatic I don't think I've seen a BG of like a "haunted/abandoned" insane asylum? Like one with the room where they would either strap them to a table or chair and do the electroshock "therapy".
Something like the following but no windows and more of the leather chair style. I'm having trouble finding exactly what I mean so I apologize if I'm not explaining it very well lol I can send more examples on discord if you need them!

- oh of course! I assumed you'd send them to her :) I hope it gets fixed fast, too. We had it mailed off a few days ago, but we haven't got a call yet about what's wrong with it. She's only going slightly crazy ;)

You three were the people that entered the first event, apologies I haven't chosen a winner yet. I had terrible food poisoning over the weekend, and need to catch up on a lot of stuff. I'll contact the winners in a day or two with the results. But so far I liked all your ideas~

My Entry/Ideas
I was thinking a pirate-Halloween themed background. The one with the hole in the wall and pirate guys hanging out there is my main idea :)
I chose your design as the winner. It was really fun and calming to paint while sick. I didn't add pink to the clouds as I went for a more stormy approach, but if you want pink I can totally add that for you~ I also changed the flow of your BG slightly as I was thinking of lying in the sun while making it, so I added a hammock LOL
You got second place. Yours...was hard Q_Q I think it took me about 84 years to get the proportions and lines right on that house.
But it was fun and really good practice. I've also never been to your reference....so I'm not sure how important the statue was? Based on your reference positioning the statue was going to be blocked by the HA anyway so I left it out. If it's super important I can add it back in?
I really liked your idea too. It kinda reminded me of season 2 AHS before it got weird with all the alien stuff lol. I was going to add straps on the chair, but I've been censored about stuff like that in the past, so I thought it best to leave those out completely. Was this kinda what you had in mind? Your idea made me think of a dingy basement room since it had no windows, so I tried to keep all the colors mute for a kinda depressing vibe.

I like torturing myself (and others), so I'd love to see a background themed around one of the most HEART WRENCHING scenes in A:TLA. Obviously, Uncle Iroh doesn't need to be there, but I love the feel of the huge tree in front of the houses and the Wall of Ba Sing Se.

First I wanted to thank you six for entering my event!! You guys came up with some really interesting ideas! I really want to paint them all, but I don't think I'll be able to...too much rl stuff to do Q_Q BUT I'll try my best to paint some of them even if it takes a bit! If I do I'll offer your design to you first.

Totally okay with it! There need to be more ATLA themed items on site. I hope some come out now that there has been a renaissance due to it and LOK arriving on US Netflix. <3
