I'm looking for treasure chest items for a spirit/demigod who is the literal embodiment of karma, basically. He collects trophies from his victims - those who have done something so awful, karma needs to catch up to them quickly.

There is some stuff in the lower half of the Carnival Shop that are pretty creepy and could be made into victim trophies. It's also not difficult to get carnival tickets (especially with Mallarchy Pond).

OTOH, you could go the "looks innocent but isn't" route. For example, an item like is bright and cheerful, but what if it is a reminder of what Bob did to the boys who worked for him and the bribes he gave them to keep them quiet? The very same bribes that somehow found their way onto the floor in front of the stairs where, on a midnight bathroom run, Bob happened to trip and fall and break his neck?

Idk. You could go both ways at once!
