I am totally new to Subeta and have never played before. So far I love all of the pets and the art and am excited to play and learn more. What are some things I should do as a new player? What's the best way to feed my pets and keep them happy? How can I get new colors for my pets?

You can put your pets in the Resort at Veta Lake - it's the building on the left, by the water
New colours can be acquired via elixirs, potions, as well as some other methods. You can check pet colours on Subetalodge, and if you have any questions about a particular colour, feel free to ask c:

About myself: I played Neopets and Webkinz a lot when I was younger, but stopped and probably haven't played any other virtual pet games for over a decade. The other day one of my friends got me started playing another pet site and it made me want to play more, so I went looking for other sites and found Subeta recommended on a forum thread.
Personally when I started, I joined because someone showed me the wardrobe and the pets, so I went about questing to get sP to make the pets I want and get a few items I REALLY liked for my wardrobe. After that I got into achievements (I guess similar to avatars on Neopets? As in it's various tasks that unlock awards or raise your achievement count) - that's a great way to explore the site, cos you get to dabble in a bit of everything c:

Welcome! I'm new too and I was also very active on neopets when I was younger. Subeta is similar, but different in a good way! I think it's easier to achieve your goals here if you have a little time to play daily and do all the quests. I joined 5 days ago and I already bought a Dark Matter Potion to change the colour of my Naabi, in Neo I would probably spend months trying to get money for a paintbrush haha
