I’ve been getting a lot of lag and purchase failed messages. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue? I get the odd blank page and 504 as well

I'm having the same issues. About every 3rd or 4th page just never loads or takes forever and then is just blank. About half as often (1/10 clicks) I get a 504. It's been like that for me since I got online about an hour ago.

It’s been steady all day! I’ve been getting “ Your most recent purchase failed. An unknown error occurred“ often as well.

I just started my quests so I may start getting those purchase failures real soon 😆

Yup yup yup. I don't begrudge Keith and Bug their needs to step away from the site for a bit, but it's just really bad timing and it's making me disgruntled.

I think for now I personally will just do my dailies on the site and not much else. If I wanted to feel frustrated I would just do my language learning studies. XD (Should be doing those anyway.)

I agree that it’s horrible timing! The site has had nothing but problems for the last two years and the wardrobe is still malfunctioning. At this point, I think the site should be sold. I’ve been a disgruntled player for years.

This is just my opinion. I think I can and everyone else can express their feelings and opinions as well.

I can guarantee you that if the site was sold, nobody would bother maintaining it. They'd yoink whatever data they could and leave the site to fend for itself.

Subeta's definitely been having a few hiccups in the past two days, and staff are kind of dealing with much more pressing IRL issues.

So yeah. Having a bit of patience and understanding for the current situation in that part of the US would be a good thing. I get being angry and upset, but I genuinely doubt anyone on staff is thrilled to be in their respective situations. :/

For those that are having issues with pages loading: refreshing once seems to do the trick. It's annoying, but it works.

That’s true too. I guess selling would have more cons than pros. I do refresh my page if the loading circle keeps going round and round. It’s annoying, but it does work.

I tend to agree with on this one. The lag and errors are frustrating and I do feel like grumbling now and then, but I don't believe it is a portend of impending doom. Whenever I feel like complaining too much, I take it as a sign to stop putzing around the site and pay attention to RL concerns instead.

I don't think it's fair to say that the site has had nothing but problems in the last two years. That erases all the improvements the site has made and all the hard work the staff has put in. Yes, the site has had problems, and sometimes they've been big - like the accidental deletion of items from everyone's wardrobe earlier this year. But there have been a lot of good things too - some small, some controversial, but on the whole the site is constantly improving.

Also, about the fires: I live almost 1000 miles away from the worst of it, yet I've woken up to a red sun for a couple of days which was unsettling to say the least. I can't imagine how much more stressful and apocalyptic it feels to be right in the thick of it. So if staff need to be away from the site for a little while to deal with that and other RL issues, I can put up with a few errors and extra clicks here and there.

I do agree that the site has made improvements and lots of them. Things are looking up on that end. I just felt I should express how I feel. It’s so frustrating and I don’t play as much now :p

I had no idea about the fires happening in the US. I don’t exactly check the news anymore because it’s so depressing (mostly about politics and Corona). I hope that you stay safe

FWIW both Bug and Keith are on the Discord right now and they are working on both issues. Drawers have been put back in alpha order and outfits can be deleted. Keith needs you to tell him situaltionally what the thing you are doing on the site when you get your 502/4s since the actual reason isn't reported to either him or us.
