How do I track how many bugs I've caught for Chimalma? I want that damn achievement and never know how close I am!

I know I've asked in previous years but can't remember the response and couldn't find my old thread. Sorry for having a flop memory and needing to ask again!

As far as I know there is no way to track them. But if you don't have the achievement, I think she asks for them in order. If you check SubetaLodge, in search order from old to new, you should be able to have some idea of what you still need.

I don't know if they ever updated the achievement with the newer bugs, so may just need to the originals (Blue Mountain Swallowtail Butterfly through to Luna Moth). Not sure on this, though.

Hm, that's interesting. I read somewhere else that she asks for them in order but in my experience that isn't the case.

Today's bug was , but she hasn't asked me for either or (the two bugs before/after) this year yet. Though, she has asked me for some of the new 2020 bugs at least and .

I think I'm going to file a ticket to see if I can get any clarity. I have been trying to get this achievement for years and it's so frustrating to not know what I need or how close I am. I'm not even sure if my progress from previous years counts or if it resets each year.

Yeah, the info I have is from the first year of the achievement. At that point there were the 30 original bugs, and I, personally, never got any repeats until I completed the achievement. It was pretty definite this was the case for everyone.

I'm pretty sure it worked that way the 2nd year too, but I can't be totally positive.

Also, in your case, if you've been working on it for years, I suspect you may actually have the achievement but it never triggered, or something. In any case a ticket is probably a really good idea. Good luck!

I can confirm that the 2020 bugs all showed up and were found once by me before NPC Counselor Chimalma started asking me for other bugs.

There isn't any order she asks them for within the set "bugs released in 2020", but there weren't any repeats. After I found all the new ones once, she went random.

The Achievement gets harder with each release of new bugs, just like the plushie master and beanbag master Achievements become harder when more plushies and beanbags get released. If you are unlucky or are bad at catching them, it may take you awhile.

I think you were right - I put in a ticket and they gave me the achievement :) Must have just not triggered!
