So I was trying to add a new pet OL to one of my pages and noticed an effect I had added is no longer working. I have never had a problem with this before. I added a color filter/glow to images, around the pet image, pet name etc and as of this morning it no longer works on Chrome on all areas.
It's also picking and choosing where it wants to show up. For example on one profile, the glow shows up around a pet name on another it does not.
For eg.
This is what the page should look like:

This is what it looks like:

I have made no edits on these pages for a while and they were perfect last night. The pages still look perfectly fine on Palemoon still, it's just not working on Chrome. No idea what's wrong or if anyone else is getting this but I'm lost.
@Cresenta the glow is showing up for me in Chrome (Version 85.0.4183.83 (Official Build) (64-bit)). The only thing that looks different to your original screenshot for me, is the treasure chest being out of alignment:

All I can tell you is, I just checked The X-Files and the glow effect as shown in the top image is still working for me in Opera. I hope Chrome still supports it because I love this effect!
Got ninja'd and also Paddy raised a good point; the TC is way out of alignment for me too. I didn't really notice it because it's SO FAR out of alignment I didn't even realize the file folders were supposed to correspond to TC items.

That's a browser issue, I think Google did something. Unfortunately, it's not a Subeta bug.

Thanks for the reply. Huh, that's so weird. My Chrome is the exact same version 85.0.4183.83 (Official Build) (64-bit) and it's not working. I wonder what's wrong :(
Seeming like it. x_x
Thanks, I hope so too. I really, really like how it makes the pages look.
@Cresenta I'm sorry I don't have a better answer. :

@Cresenta That's weird that it's not displaying for you when it works for another user with the same version.
The TC issue must be a CSS thing but I'm afraid I don't know enough about that to advise on how to make it work with all display sizes. Mine is 1920x1080 so it really spreads things out. I just bought this monitor (new PC) and before this I had a laptop with a small external monitor...things really looked different on that. I just found out all my pet profiles looked wonky on anything larger than a tiny monitor myself, awkward. haha
Right? That's what has me so confused. How can it work on the same Chrome for 1 person and not another? I really hope it's just my Chrome glitching and it'll resolve on its on, which doesn't make me optimistic at all tbh.
And oh yea the TC thing being off def is! I'm not the best coder so I don't know how to do that thing where they resize to look the same on every resolution type haha. I'm not concerned about that, just worried about the glow thing since a lot of my profiles look like junk without it x_x
@Cresenta All I can think of is maybe it's a setting, like you have some display setting disabled (maybe it's a default security thing? Sometimes they like to just block everything just to be safe) but I really am not sure. I would just go check my Chrome settings if I were you, and make double-sure it's up to date.
If it makes you feel better, I think that profile still looks great without the glow. But of course it looks better with the glow because the glow is life. XD
It's weird because I was on the computer last night at like 2 am and it looked fine lol. I have not changed anything and my Chrome says it's up to date. A friend suggested I clear my cache so I'm trying that now, no idea if it'll work.
Thanks, you're sweet. :) Yea that one doesn't look that bad but some of my others really need that effect. :(
@Cresenta Did the cache clearing work? As long as we're talking about basic update stuff, Windows 10 has had some updates recently; is that up to date for you too? Maybe it could be blocking something. I hate when stuff just randomly decides to change while I'm sleeping haha.
Nope. Neither did uninstalling and re-installing. I have Windows 7 as never updated to 10. x_x And same, it makes me want to rip my hair out.
@Cresenta Hmm, my last idea is maybe you need to update to Windows 10 to support it but I don't actually know if your OS could have anything to do with it. I held on stubbornly to Windows 7 for a while too because 8 sucked but I finally gave into Win10 with a "new" laptop 5 years ago this month (which finally became so slow and out of date I just had to replace it a couple weeks ago for my sanity) so maybe it's finally time for Windows 10 for you too...
I honestly have no clue rn. I checked my profiles on my sister's comp (same house) and lo and behold it works fine on Chrome. And she has a windows 7 too. I'm ... lost.
@Cresenta Wow, that's really weird then. Hopefully it's one of those things that will just sort of fix itself with the next update or something. =/
After not getting anywhere uninstalling and then reinstalling chrome all day long, I tried Chrome Beta and hallelujah! My profiles look as they should! So while the orig issue didn't resolve, at least I have a nice workaround. I'll be sticking with Beta for the time being as Subeta somehow seems faster on that too. So win win. ^o^
Thanks so much for all your input. ❤️
