Hey everybody! Its been a long time since I last played Subeta. Today I logged in and saw that there was a new colour so I thought why not? I created a pet named Astronauta and tossed it into the rift and like

It was gone.

Its name kept appearing on my Active pet, but when I went into search or the URL for its name, it said the pet does not exist so I thought it deleted my poor pet from existence So obviously as someone who did not bother to google before anything because I drink dumb juice daily

I tried to make a new pet (another Yaherra or something) with the same name of course.

And then, sure, I just discovered that it was what was meant to happen, my Astronauta 1.0 is technically coming back in 48hs?? But what about Astronauta 2.0? Will I end up with two Astronautas??

........ What do I do

I have no idea, but all I can say is I think it's kinda ironic how your Astronauta ended up lost in space

Unique pet names are no longer a thing...so yeah, I suppose you will have two different pets called Astronauta! The older one is in for a rude surprise lol.

But then... Why did one of my pets had its name stolen? :( Oh well Then I can change the new astronauta I guess! Time to wonder how much will that cost me haha

Having two pets with the same name is not supposed to be possible. The Rift messes this up because it temporarily changes the owner of said pet to the rift...and it looks like they haven't fixed that yet.

If I were you, I'd file a ticket and see if you can get a free name change for the second pet. Name changes are free regardless, but they might be able to set it up so that this doesn't cost you your weekly name change.

Non-unique names just become a thing, like a few weeks ago. So prior to that yeah, if you were inactive then your pets name became available for others to use.

Someone took the name before the non-unique pet names took effect. The good news is that you can change it back to what it was now :) Regular accounts can change one pet name per week; gold accounts can change as many pet names as you want once a month.
