Ok, let's say I got the image for a custom pet, do I make a random pet with the name I want and assign that image to it? And how do I do that? Explain it to me the same way you'd explain playing with fire to a 3 yrs old.

go here. also accessible via pets - custom overlays.

click "upload" and follow the instructions.

once your overlay is approved, it'll appear something like this.

click "assign" (reassign for that image) and it'll show you a list of your pets.

pick the pet you'd like to assign the image to and approve it.

& your overlay is up! you can remove/reassign the image at any time. it can be on one pet at a time.

any pet you own should show up on the overlay page, yes. if you don't have the pet/name you want for the overlay, go ahead and make them, then try and assign the image to them.
