That's it? Why is Prodigy so coveted to beat then?

He is just a normal battle challenger, so I think those are just titles. I think the cash shop ones comes with a loot achievement.

Prodigy has always been the one everyone wanted beat when first starting out in battling. (like having a pet reach high enough stats to beat) Well him, saggi and Maleria. We no longer have Maleria as a challenger.

I think everyone just kind of did or still does feel like once you can kick prodigys butt you are pretty happy about how far your pet has come. It has always been kind of a goal. I still love the old prodigy artwork better though. LoL

well at least Poukie managed 5 wins... but that's her max for now. I had to use potions, shards, etc. and over an hour trying.

Depends, most cash shop opponents are easier than Prodigy, while some are harder.

There...isn't a Prodigy Cash Shop opponent.

Most cash shop opponents added before 2018 have an achievement linked to them, which gives you a weapon. The ones from the research notes, namely, the fairy tale ones as well :D The seasonal ones, such as Fruit Punch have achievements linked to them too.

I'm confused, the weapon Prodigy used to drop, how do we now get it?

We don't, it's cycled out of its reward pool.

You got the scroll which is the real reward.. Prodigy Staff is cheap and not /that/ good at your pet’s level. The Eyeball you got instead is also decent

Thanks :) I already had the eyeball so this one went into the wardrobe :D I'll most likely buy the staff since it's a good water weapon, which I don't have... although I usually use a more general set.
