Trading and selling of pets is against the rules. You can however adopt pets from other users.

No worries. :) Usually people want to know a bit about why you want the pet. Typically we call these "applications". But each case is different. Some users may go on a first come, first served basis and all adopters have to do is say they're interested. Others may want at least some explanation as to why you want they pet, and again there's a lot of variation here. Some adopters may give only 1-2 sentences; others may already have detailed characters and stories.
