Just joined. I first heard about Subeta maybe.. 15 years ago? I was playing Neopets at the time and was looking for alternatives. I don't remember if I made an account here but probably not.

To get away from the madness on social media, I recently went back to NP to relax and have a good time. Perhaps it's me that's changed, but NP doesn't match the nostalgia I thought of. Am I too old now? Haha...

Subeta gives me a good feeling, so maybe this is what I'm looking for.

A bit about me: Love fiction, anime, comics etc.. I enjoy making ceramics. I have two cats: Fisher and Baba. Hate hot weather!

It's very satisfying for me when working with clay. I personally enjoy handbuilding more than wheelthrowing. If there aren't any studios, could you try a community college nearby? They might have ceramic art classes that are inexpensive... assuming you're in the USA. :/

i'm in a situation similar to yours. i was (and still kinda am?) a neopets junkie since the mid-2000's, but my interest has been waning since discovering other pet sites and just... watching the site slowly decay. makes me sad :(

i joined dappervolk in late june, right around its official launch, and while ive put a lot of time into it and my experience is overall positive, its become a bit repetitive. and so on a board recommending other pet sites, this was mentioned. and now here i am!

but i have also been using pet sites as an alternative time killer to social media, since ive found that social media leaves me sad/angry/hurt more often than not and id rather not do that to myself.
