Hear me out; Long ago, Shinwa blessed a Subetan bloodline with power to transform between regular-looking humans and bird-people and few innate magic. Their duty was to defend and protect innocent wildlife, especially birds from all the strangeness Maleria, and some times, Shinwa herself brings with their megic; Something the common animals can't adapt or survive without outside help. They are considered a highly skilled warrior race, trained to fend off strange creatures of dark magic and rift. They are usually fougth with cool big birds like Fester, Irion or Noktoa.

But times changes and several hundred years later, this job is modernized, turned into modern conservation oversee by the Government. Traditional knowledge is replace with actual research and these birdfolks are replaced by Government officials, actual Ornithologists and specialists. These people are free to work as whatever they want, thus, no longer badass warriors.

Fast forward to this girl, who pretty much desperately take up this near-dead tradition she barely knows anything about as her job because she can't afford housing and student debt after her workplace shut down unexpectedly. She has zero combat abilities, no advance knowledge of bird beyond her ability to kind of understand birds, has a degree that not related to any of this. Her natural feathers are still effective armour because they are blessed by Shinwa and she is alright at doing sick dive, but besides that, has to rely on her pets to do the actual fighting. The government allows her to live in ancestral area that is normally off-limited in Peka Glade, rent free, so she can does her job. The technology is great and all, but her natural ability is low-maintenance and she can access extreme terrains with very little special gears. She has to work with people with education and rank way above her that keep her around only because she is an irreplaceable bird-human thing.

And if you are wondering, yes, she has to suffer every Spring when the birds are yelling for sex.

Pets, these pets are blessed into non-standard colour as a thank for their service in defending wildlife

Windy Wisper (Arid/Spectrum Lain) A spoiled, bratty chihuahua in a bird form and may or may not be EagleWing's bird Familiar. A three ounces of whoop-ass that always stands up for EagleWing, Fights with tiny Shinwa Bow that can use to launch wind and her owner's feather as arrow. Also a fashion police.

Fire Fihgter (Reborn Endeavor) An adopted battle pets that does the most ass whooping around, with ability to go into forest and nature reserve without setting everything on fire. He is the calm, serious type and mostly a functional adult minus the bad hygiene. Always get the job done. Fights with Fire and Magma based weapons.
