I have a lot of weird-ass dreams, but the weirdest/funniest one I've had recently involved Jim (Yes, Subeta Jim) coming to life and chastising me for my life choices. He basically voiced every one of my insecurities aloud right back to me, the things I'm always beating myself up with every day. It was sad in a way, but also kind of hilarious. I remember saying to him, "Wow, Jim, I never thought you'd be such an asshole. I liked you better when you were a static image on my computer screen." And then it ended.
I woke up half-agitated, half-amused. It was crazy. I'll never look at Jim the same way again. And to think he seemed like he'd be such a nice guy!
Dreams are such odd things to me. I hate them but I also love them when they're hilarious, and I like reading about other peoples' dreams too. So feel free to share if you've had any amusing ones lately.
Dreaming, that I cannot do.
This nightmare is a direct consequence of prolonged treatment for schizophrenia, my meds put me in such deep sleep. My brain is mostly inactive, not much happens there.
The last nightmare I can remember is being surrounded by The Blob. My entire house engulfed, it coming in through vents and spewing out garbage and half digested half alive critters. Set to a song by A Perfect Circle, a song I never heard until several years later.
Dang, that's intense.
My deepest sleep tends to be early in the morning, but that's also when I've had my most awful nightmares. One I still remember to this day involved my sister and I going to Hawaii, but it wasn't the stereotypical image of Hawaii. The beach was all ashy and there were dark clouds in the sky. There had been a volcanic eruption. The worst part though was when I went to play in the water and I found several dead bodies in graphic detail floating in it. I remember specifically a guy's severed torso floating towards me and I was stuck, I couldn't run or swim away from it. I must have been about 14 or 15, I actually woke up crying and I hugged my mom (something I rarely ever did because we were never close). That nightmare still freaks me out to this day. I guess that means I'm not as deep a sleeper as I thought I was.
I'm very different, totally blacked out from when asleep to waking the next morning. It's been that way for 25 years, I feel inhuman this way.
Its a tough call, horrible nightmares or nothing at all. Which is more frightening? I still don't know...
That is a tough call. I seem to have so many nightmares though, I think I'd rather have nothing at all, even if that means sacrificing any pleasant dreams too. If pleasant dreams were the majority I'd probably have a different opinion. Dreams, good or bad, can definitely screw me up. They've made me late for work or school a few times, if I'm dreaming I'm already at school or work. Very stupid...
You're not the only one to see a bright side to dreamless sleep. Considering the alternative, seems sane.
I had a really weird dream recently about the year 2060. Basically in my dream I started off in middle school, but aged up, and eventually came to be in a big arena/conference room (I'm not really sure what it was in my dream). In that arena a few people would be set on fire, then they would spread it, and eventually everyone who got burned would be transferred to the year 2060 with no physical damages to them, although they would feel it, and after a certain amount of time be sent back. I remember in my dream it didn't work for me but I lost all my arm hair and was pretty upset it LOL
I also had a dream I went on a like 3-4 month internship, and I brought a long a pair of extra diapers although I knew my husband and I weren;t pregnant. Then when I left a large part of my dream was stuffing my bags full of clean diapers lol very weird

Omg that's so trippy. I've only seen fire in my dreams about 2 times that I can remember. I had a nightmare about a meteor one time. I was sitting in the backyard jacuzzi at my grandparents' house (I've lived with them before), and then suddenly this meteor came down. I could feel myself burn up when it hit Earth. It was disturbing but also a very weird sensation. I woke up sweating. I must have had too many covers on because the only time I've sweat at night is whenever I had a fever.
That second dream of yours, LOL. That is the kind of nonsense that makes me laugh, I wish more of my dreams were funny and random instead of scary.
I just had a dream last night where I flew for the first time. I've literally never dreamed of flying until last night but it wasn't .... anything like I expected. I grabbed onto my friends like when you skydive together??? idk if that makes sense and we flew up like that together.
I'll insert a pic below of what I'm talking about:

I have this reoccurring dream where i'm in this house and I have to try to escape or get away from someone that may or may not be home. The other night in my dream a friend and I were able to escape. We saw the people leaving in 2 cars. The first one didn't see us, but the second one did. He turned around and the last thing I remember is him walking up.
Mind you, I have extremely vivid dreams almost every night, I've also never been in a situation like that. I've gotten used to them by now.
Been having this one for a long time now. I'm either in a maze or a massive mansion. It's labyrinthine either way. I get the sense that there's something in the maze/mansion seeking me out for malicious reasons. So I find a secret, hidden room, go inside, and close the door. Then I pull a hidden switch or push a secret button, which opens another door to a smaller secret compartment inside the secret room. It's barely big enough for me to fit inside, but I snuggle down into it and close myself in, feeling safe a secure knowing that no one can find me there.

Last night I had a nightmare that I was arrested and went to jail and had no idea at all what I was being charged with, and the whole dream I was sitting in jail trying to figure out what the hell I could've done that would've put me in jail. I was so relieved when I woke up cuz' I couldn't think of anything and it was so confusing!
I had one the other day where I was being chased by a giant tub of icecream.. LOL I think I was hungry
I have SO many nightmares, and it seems to be when I overheat in my sleep? One of my more hilarious ones was committing corporate espionage and sneaking into a penthouse office of a high rise corporate building in order to steal secrets from the office of the CEO, getting caught by security, needing to jump out of the window matrix-style, then landing in a flying cab just like Fifth Element... and getting caught by the police anyway.
i have a recurring dream where i'm best friends with ariana grande and we get up to all sorts of good-hearted, wholesome mischief together
... so that's pretty weird
Lol, thanks for your replies everyone, I enjoy reading these!
I had a weird one the other night that took place in some sort of cave? During the day, people went in to mine for gems but at night it was a weird haunted house?? It was very weird and spooky
Last night i dreamed my parents were living in some kind of weird retirement village where everyone's homes were connected so strangers would just walk through. I weirdly felt like some of the apartment or whatever was a real place I've been but I have no idea where. I mostly just sat outside on a big veranda with a bunch of dogs.
