In my cake gallery I would love to change the name of the none category to preparation. Does anyone happen to know if this is possible and if so how you do it?

No, from my knowledge there isn't a way to rename the none category so all users see it that way.

I'd suggest going over to the Suggestions & Ideas fourm and make a suggestion topic with this as the idea.
