I've been thinking about downsizing my subeta family so i can focus more on the stats / treasures of my pets, but i was wondering what you guys do when its time to say goodbye to your pets?

can you "sell" pets? is that even allowed? or do you just abandon them in hopes that someone would pick them up in the pound? has anyone ever offered to give away them in the forums?

just trying to figure out the etiquette here ^^

You cannot sell or trade pets, they're not a currency.

There is an adoption forum if you want to make sure they're going to someone who would like them, but I just go and yeet my pet into the adoption center.

I just find another name and give my pet a new story etc.

Rename the pet, transform the pet, and work on that instead. Usually I have enough invested in that pet, whether it's TC slots or stats or an old ID, for me to warrant keeping it.

I redo them, rename them recharacter them redesign them etc. Or I sometimes pound if I have zero ideas. I do get creators block sometimes.

i would rather start from the ground up again than dump them in the adoption centre, especially if i've had that pet for a while

I usually just make a post in the adoption center forum and see if anyone wants them. If no one responds in a few days, I'll just put them in the pound (after removing any minion/treasure/story/art/etc. I have on them first of course).

Who are you thinking about adopting out tho? Because I'm looking for about 7 more pets right now, lol. If it's Rosarie, I will have heart failure because I want that legacy name. XD

Yeah I fell out of love with a new one I was running through the zapper and had never done that before. Now I wish I could abandon it but can't see a way to do that. I went to the adoption center and was looking for the option but, couldn't find it. I have never abandoned a pet so I could use some assistance if possible.

Just a note, but if you go to personal, pets, pets page

and select the down arrow next to your pet's image on the pet page, it'll show a drop down list which has an abandon option on it at the bottom of the drop down list. That'll automatically put the pet in the adoption center.

I've never fallen out of love with my pets but I usually just re-name or change their species if I'm getting antsy about them though. It's why out of all the years I've been on site, I still have all but one of my original pets, but that's me because I tend to get connected to them after a while.

Thank You! That worked great. And yes, I have all of my original pets except one that got spirited away during a lapse when I was ill. This one just didn't bond with me I guess.
