I really wish for more Subeta contests, like...best CW creations over a period of time, say a month? And of course best gallery, that was an issue at some point that got dropped eventually...shame...People do work around here for the rest of us, we should appreciate that amount of work. Come to think of it, maybe even best mod/staff of the month, which was also a dropped issue, no idea why, maybe get back to it? There are talented people around, we should let them know the appreciation we give them, no?

I'd love a gallery contest! It would be a great way for people to share their galleries and other players to see what they collect. I like looking at others' galleries, but there's no really good way to find them.

While I'm not against contests like these, we have to be mindful of the kind of toxicity that they breed. We just had a huge drama over non-unique names (with people leaving the site over it). Some people take the competition a bit TOO seriously and that can be dangerous, but that aside...healthy competition isn't bad.

I like the idea generally, but I'd like it as more of a "showcase" than a "best of."

A showcase gives us a chance to view and applaud creativity without (I would hope) as much drama as a contest/best of. Limit the less savory parts of a competition while still being able to show off our creativity.

I remember the contests for rl submissions like baked goods and holiday ornaments, and I'd really like to see something like that again!

Showcases would be fine, I know contests are a lot of work for the moderators and some people definitely take them way too seriously and create drama.
