Apologies in advance if this is already suggested. As I was chatting with a friend the other day, we both felt that the 1 name change per pet per month limit was not enough for several reasons:

-we may change our ideas more than once within a month -we may try one of the several names (eg. last name only, first name only, full name, nickname) of a character but may end up not liking it, or maybe this pet's first name is actually the same as another character's first name, and we decide to change it to their last name. -sometimes when we adopt a pet from the pound, we'd like to name them to a temporary name, but still love the chance to rename the pet again when we settle on an solid idea within the month -a good way to bring in some extra income for the site -there's probably more reasons...I know some people can wait, but some of us really don't like to wait and would rather pay to get things done xD.

I'd suggest two major ways to get additional renames:

  1. similar to what we have before, for pets that exceed the rename limit, charge a certain amount of CSC to rename again
  2. add extra pet renaming to subscription ----a. based on subscription level, you can have 1, 2, or maybe 3 additional pet renames per pet per month ----b. you get maybe 20, 30,or 40 extra renames per month based on subscription level, and it is not pet specific

Any input and feedback are welcome!

tbph, i would prefer renaming to either be unlimited (like wajas or dappervolk) or done with an sP item (like renaming scrolls in flightrising). i think this limit is a little much.

I agree that there should be some way to get additional renames.

Full support for this suggestion, I would definitely use it.

I agree with this suggestion, but I also kind of thought it was in the works from the beginning? At least when people asked if there would ever be a way for non-gold accounts to have the ability to change names, Keith said, "We're working on the non-ga version of this, which will including purchasing extra name changes for a verrryyy small fee, and GAs will be able to do that as well."

I'm not sure if those plans changed when they also implemented the free non-GA method of once per week, but if it did, then it would be nice if they consider it again. :)

I actually was just saying to a friend I wouldn't mind paying ~25 CSC per extra name change of a pet if it meant I didn't have to wait another month.

That was mentioned a while ago, any development on this?

I forgot I renamed a pet this month and need to rename them again; would be nice to be able to do it without relying on transferring it to someone else.

I thought about the transferring route, but didn't want to bother anyone and pound transfer is too risky xD. Please subeta, please grant us total freedom over pet names, and please take my $$$/CSC, which I rarely have anything to spent on nowadays as a pet person. Please at least allow me to spend them on extra renames!

Same. I have severely messed up my newest pets' names, and it's gonna be semi-tortuous to have to wait until December to fix them all. I'd love another option.

I know this isn't a priority, but I just wonder if the staff have discussed about it at all. I know Keith said this feature is going to be added, but I wonder if the staff have already discussed about what the small fee will be. At this point, I really hope that all that's needed to be done is the actually coding.

I know the vast majority of the pet community probably don't need this feature, but it just sucks to be the one who constantly have ideas on which characters I want to add to or remove from my pet family. Another downside is that this is forcing me to not want to continue having my GA, because I'm using the weekly non-GA status to change names that I already changed this month. Having a GA meaning zero rename till 2021, not having a GA meaning I have three renames before 2021. I find that what I usually do is to have a 1 week GA in the beginning of the month to change a bunch of names, and then, let the GA expire and wait for the coming Monday so the weekly free name change kick in. I'd stay non-GA for the rest of the month to change a name that I already changed every week.

OOOhhh i definitely support this! i was attempting to do a name swap between two pets and accidentally picked one of the wrong ones. now i have to do a three way swap which is going to take me a loooong time (okay, not that long but longer than i would have hoped) i wish there was an option to pay for an additional rename because I would definitely take that option! ;__;

Yeah, I noticed that when the name change revamp was announced. Seems the current system is a mark AGAINST having a GA because a week is much shorter than a month.

It'd more sense for GA users to have the wait period be a few days instead of a month. I think it was a month so that people will be able to search up a pet easily, but I dunno.

I'm glad that the staff is planning to change this though. :)

Exactly! Being able to change all your pets' names once per month was very appealing when the revamp was just implemented because it gave people the chance to mass revamp their pet names. But after that, I don't need to change 80% of my pets' names at all, and just need to settle on the names for the rest of my pets. And that process may involve a lot of mind changing on names for a few pets within a short period of time, which definitely makes frequency more desirable than quantity.

Anyways, really looking forward to the day that the change is implemented.
