It takes up to 72 hours to get Isaac to build a Steamworks pet, and we actually have no way of seeing which pets we have underway - Isaac just goes back to asking us for a schematic and a key once we fill our order.

Would it be possible to add a page showcasing which pets we have undergoing the transformation, with the date we started up the request?

I was worried that I'd lost my key/schematic because I thought the 72 hours had passed several times this week, and such a page could be very useful!

The last time I made a streamwork pet I chunked him in, forgot a day or two later, and had a total "oh no" moment when the page was basically "sup you wanna buy some stuff?". I suddenly second guessed even finishing the process (maybe I vaulted the key), considered putting the pet through the process (potentially again) and ultimately wandered off.

Even if it didn't have a date associated with when the process was started just a note that says "Ah yes here about (petname)? We're still working on it & will let you know when we're done!" would be fantastic.

I support this too. Even if it doesn't give an exact date or time when it will be ready, it would be nice to have some sort of indication that the process is underway so people don't just have to hope it went through and that they maybe just misremembered how many days it's been since they turned in the materials.

Yeah, we don't need to know when it's going to be done, but I want to know when I started my request, at least.

(Don't start me on how stupid it is that I have to wait 72 hours for my Steamworks pet in the first place while I can get 3858309 Nostalgic Pets but hey this thread ain't about that.)

Full support.

Not seeing any acknowledgment that your order is being worked on is really off-putting when you're trying to get a steamwork pet.

Not having a "done date" displayed is fine, but I'd like to know when I put my pet in and that my order is still being worked on. Especially if you have multiple pets in the system at the moment.

JUST A COUPLE DAYS AGO I ordered a new Steamwork and promptly totally forgot about it for a day and then remembered and realized I filled my designated pet slot for it (not that I know what would've happened if a pet slot wasn't ready by then).

A "your order for x pet is underway!" at the very least would definitely be a help, considering how nonchalant he currently is about literally making you a new pet.

Might also need a slot lock for us forgetful folk.

Full support.

I currently have 9 pets - 7 in creation, and 2 being modified, and outside of "it will be ready in three days", I know nothing.

That seriously needs to be touched up.

Yun Enterprises is a family concern so I can see them not-knowing when it will be done, and being loth to announce a due date anyways because engineers and construction firms totally do this. Lack of a precise date makes good lore IMO. But a BTW we got your pet he/she/they/cogwheel is looking awesome and is coming along nicely, would you like to convert/create another y/n? dialog also fits.

Lore shouldn't get in the way of actual playing ability and QOL features, sorry.

it being a small family business actually would make it more lore-friendly for them to "recognize" you and give you a status update on your pet 'coming along nicely' or whatever. don't need a specific exact completion date/time, just acknowledgement there even is a pet in their 'care'/workshop being made for you, no?

I'm bumping this because I'm making another Steamworks pet right now, and I still want to see this happen very much.

I suggested this a while ago and I'm still kinda disappointed that Steamworks pet making is still so user unfriendly. :( And don't get me started about the entire "72 hours requirement" please, because that's just a mean mechanic :(
