I clicked on a user and I got this message:

But I've never contacted them ever, this is the first I've ever seen this persons name.

Am I in trouble?

Nope. If you try to interact with them beyond their being able to still purchase from your shops - which I find kind of ridiculous - only then will you actually have issues.

I personally have blocked users who have not contacted me in any way shape or form because I have found their other postd(s) or public action(s) with other users so objectionable that I know ahead of time I don't want to see anything they have to say.

FWIW I also block users who are extremely wordy but don't have anything interesting to communicate that they coudn't have done much more concisely. If you can tweet, you can edit yourself.

shop purchases are possible, site glitches are possible, and it is possible to also encounter them on dance/flower the user above threads.

As for shop purchases, the main reason for the Block feature is to prevent communications. If someone I have blocked decides for whatever reason (questing fast, I have the best deal, I have the only one etc) to buy one of my items I don't care. I now have their sP and at my own price! For an item I didn't even want. Mua ha ha!

IMO putting something in your shop instead of Trade-ing it means you have the item out there on the open market.

Thanks for the info. I agree it's not really a big deal to buy from someone's shop who has me blocked or vice versa, but if it's a means to possibly harass someone and can get us a warning, I wonder if it's not just more efficient to prevent it.

I can see where you are coming from. My own shops' logs go by so fast I'd never notice, and I don't really pay attention except to tell myself to restock some things and change the prices on others. But it might be problem for someone else.

It is a reportable offense, as is what happened to you with the anonymous gifter. It doesn't occur to much here on Subeta? Maybe if it's something that happens a lot and I am clueless it can be Suggested or you could write a Ticket in Help about it. It's been Suggested before and staff hasn't acted on it though.

I'd love people to harass me by giving me money. Gifting is different, they can pick items with double meanings and leave messages with the gift, but buying from shops has nothing attached to it except cash.
