You should clarify whether artists will be signing away their ownership of the colored work itself and/or its copyright by entering.

As a creator, I might consider the prior, but I would not consider relinquishing copyright barring extraordinary circumstances (eg. Disney wants to syndicate my artwork), and certainly not for in-game currency.

ownership of the piece and of its copyright are distinct ideas.

Which sort of ownership (or both) are you describing in your rules? Please clarify.

I’m concerned for the artists who might enter as there are two parts of ownership of an artwork: the piece itself and the copyright. The complication is important because giving away rights to one or the other have considerably different consequences—the right to use an image versus the right to make copies of it, for example. It might help you get more entrants as potential entrants might be more comfortable signing up with a clarification.

But your contest, your choice. Best wishes in either case.

Wow, I feel so sorry for you. That was completely unnecessary on ' part. I really don't see what their issue was considering that it's your art shakes head This was such a cool concept for a contest too...
