On Gaia Online, where I used to frequent before moving here, had an option to turn off signatures in the forums. The only caveat was you couldn't see your own, either. I've noticed quite a few users that like to have gifs in their sig, and I'm not protesting against it, but I'd love an option to toggle signatures off. In an age where mental illnesses and disabilities like ADHD are receiving more much needed attention, it seems odd there's not an option already. Yes, I could and often do use adblock, but sometimes I forget why I blocked something and delete it from my adblock filter.

Could this be implemented? Has it already been asked for? Am I just shouting into the void?

The only thing you can turn off are HAs.

That said, you can use Custom CSS to turn off signatures .forum_signature {display:none!important;}

Otherwise you can post a suggestion in the suggestion forum. I think I have a vague recollection of a suggestion like it, but its been a long time, its not in the frequent requests list, so you should feel free to make it again.

There's a lot of custom CSS that can improve the site. Of course as more and more of the site gets switched over to the new system it will stop working, but for now it can be really helpful.
