So in working with my pets alongside my fiancee, I've formed a sort of general world/shared story of sorts they share. Even though some of my pets are fan pets (Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem; if anyone's curious about what fandoms) they all have a shared setting ran by my main pet, Simonino. Simonino runs a special charitable sanctuary that helps other's with food, shelter, clothes, etc. My fiancee and I are roleplayers so even though they're all technically pets, we treat them more like humans with animal avatars I suppose. All of my pets are either staff to that sanctuary, or residents staying there for help.
Does anyone else have a shared setting or story for their pets? I'd love to hear!

Almost all of my pets have connections to one another; at least three have shared stories together. I think I only have 3 completely stand alone pets, and of course I'm not done with pet slots....
mine do! aside from 1 they're all oc's from my main world which is divided into 3 timelines (i mean technically 2 timelines with the third one being so far in the future it can be a sequel to either timeline) ' v '
they aren't all necessarily connected to each other but i rly like worldbuilding thru writing them asdfghjkl
Yes absolutely! :) I usually feel much better about the organization of my pets if they're connected in some way. One-offs tend to get lost in the crowd.
My main world right now is Calen d'Ar, and three of my pet groups take place in there. There's the "Within a Year" set, whose stories are completely interwoven. There's the Layabouts, who belong to the neighboring land. And there's the Foundlings - Finding sounds a bit like your Simonino: she takes in wayward travellers and helps them on their way.
I also have the seven deadly supervillains, who are their own group. Right now I don't imagine them to be a part of the Calen d'Ar world, but they could be.
Most of my balloon-based pets are part of the same world and have an interconnecting storyline. That would be Drifblim, Floon, Aerostat, Blimpmon, and Prospekt - although I haven't finished all their stories.
Al Cody and Llewyn also have a unified storyline, but they're both fan pets from the same movie so that makes sense XD
I separate my pets into sets that are defined by their story world. Within those sets, some pets are in the same story, while others feature in a series of stories within their "world"... I currently have 19 separate story worlds that have at least a little bit of world building. (I do have a few are super developed.) I've still got more pets to sort out, so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up with more rather than less... But I've told myself my max is 30 story worlds... I start climbing over that and I'm gonna start combining concepts and/or getting rid of pets.
Whooooa, 19!? That's awesome! I don't think I could juggle that, it would drive me crazy. I can barely handle my one storyline I have for the group on here.
Ah that sounds cool! Those names sound familiar on the fan pets, but I can't place it?
Ooooh, she does sound like Simonino! And those worlds sound awesome, you go! ^^ Keep it up. I agree with you about how it feels better to have them woven in some way, it makes it more fun too!
That's so neat! And worldbuilding through writing is always an adventure, but it accomplishes so much.
That's totally valid! And let's be real, we're never done with pet slots even when they're all full XD
Awesome! That sounds so cool! I'm lucky to have my roleplaying fiancee, so all of our stuff is a chaotic interwoven mess and I love it.

They used to. Some of my pets are flat-out fan pets, but the original ones used to all be in the same story. The only part of it I actually developed any part of was Sevidical's: he's a sadistic game show host who loves tormenting the contestants on his show, mainly by goading them into taking severe risks for the promise of fantastic prizes. Part of the story involved my other characters outwitting him.
This was years ago though, most of the characters I gave up for adoption the last time I took a hiatus from Subeta. I recreated a couple but honestly I just don't have the motivation to take up the story again. (Lost motivation for almost all my creative things when I couldn't draw anymore, at least not nearly as much as I used to.)
Not all my pets are tied together in one world. I have several worldsettings and I have little groups that go together in these worldsettings. I sorted them on my profile into the different world-/storysettings. For example Jamie, Santiago, Willow, Paco, Maik and Ikarus are settle in an dystopian Ark: Survival like setting. I have several groups like that. My pets, like yours are all avatars for mostly human characters, some are real animals, like Castor, who is a dog, who is part of Marcius' story.

Uh, I guess I might forget a few, but for me it's "fanpet & OC" combo.
Like Sater/Ricarda, Linc/Smith, or Pascow/Deuce. Thanks to non unique names I could also add Billy, who is in fact my Pet Owen's brother. <3 Sadly Pascow does not have his story up anymore due to broken profiles/my computer being dead. I hope I have it still saved somewhere. ^^'
And I have both Manera and Gluskin linked in each others story. ^^
I’m currently trying to tie four of my pets stories together. I think giving them a little world to live in makes it more fun to write for ^^

not all of my pets are connected or part of unified stories, but a bunch of mine are definitely part of smaller collective story lines!
my favourite (and most popular) connected story is a zombie-apocalypse one, centred around leroy, warner and francesca, as well as prim (the imprimis) and, later, 26.
others: -- lepidoptera is the name of a simple story of a princess (edie) and the rebel that kidnaps her (jair), as well as her to-be betrothed (thomas).
-- i have a magic detective story that ties barley, billie, ell and russell to one another.
-- bonus: jordan and edward are pretty much my gay twilight fantasy from like 10 years ago lmao~
these guys are all friends / work in the same cubicle:

profiles are SUPER not finished though hahaha. I wish I actually wrote stories for them

Like , my pets are all separated into different groups based on the story they come from... well, most of them, anyway. There are a few who haven't found their place yet and a few that are outside of my creative world like my cat tribute and the fanpet I just made. I've got five sets of pets who are characters from five separate novels.
at one point some of my pets were separated into different worlds, but now that i can name them whatever i want, i can finally have certain characters here that i couldn't before! i'm in the process of writing a webcomic that basically spans across multiple dimensions, and i have a loooot of minor characters from each of these dimensions that need fleshing out... so, needless to say, once they're all developed, all 82 of my pets/characters are going to come from the same world!
i'm really excited to develop my minor characters on subeta. working on treasure chests really helps me envision their aesthetics and personalities!

82 is a huge number, what an amazing project! it's nice to see that the recent change is encouraging more creativity here. (Really though, 82?! Epic.)
I love it when pet stories tie in together~! All 18 of my lovelies all live within the same setting/universe. The setting is a huge metropolis city know as Noxbury, inhabited by anthropomorphic animals of all kinds! The plot centers around the struggles of herbivores and carnivores trying to live side by side along with corruption of the political powers within this city. Increased gang activity, violent crimes, and just destruction in general have made residents of Noxbury on edge. Each of my pets has a role to play from the trio of college students (Shaun, Georgia, and Joshua) who have to deal with the violence and changing atmosphere of the city to the mayor herself (Pamela), who is under the thumb of one of the biggest crime bosses in Noxbury (Ricardo). Some of this is inspired by Beastars and Zootopia, though I've been working on my squad with this particular setting (Noxbury) for many years, maybe like 2015 or 2016? IDK either way I just love having characters connected and exploring their relationships with one another! Glad others do similar things with their pets/characters as well! <3 I'm a RPer and artist, but I mostly keep to myself when it comes to this particular headworld.
The main character of my story is my avatar, who's name is Zvi. I ended up having so much story for her that I created a pet to represent her. Most of the profiles are narrated by her first companion, Rakover, and everything takes place within the land of Subeta, so I tie in a lot of site lore. For awhile, my pet Plinkachoo was just a fan pet for pokemon, but eventually I started tying him in, and then I decided to change him into a Nostalgic Keeto (since I 've always loved that design) and rename him Ketchum. I've written up his new bio but I need to figure out a profile format before I bother posting it. Basically all my pets are characters that Zvi has run into, befriended, and taken in/invited to live with her. Since she's obsessed with magic and spirits, most of her companions are magic users or victims of magic gone awry.
