I don't know if this is narcissistic, but I'm working on a personal portfolio to keep track of some of my goals/achievements, but I don't want to include any real pictures of myself. I'm wondering if maybe you can draw something that looks sort of kind of like me? I'd rather not post pictures here but can message you privately.

Basically pretty girly, fit and flare dresses, long blonde hair. Happy to bribe with some SP or the rather small amount of CC I have :)

These are cute! I'm surprised your art shop flopped. Could you link me to it, and I can see about offering advice to make it more profitable?

Edit: Found it. Looks like I can't post on it again because it would be necro-ing the thread, but I've only got a few pieces of advice: 1.) Trim text (eg. "WELCOME!!! Now I know it can get really complicated/confusing with pricing and different styles but I'm gonna keep it simple with just a flat rate across the board. You'll see it in the "PRICES & PAYMENT" tab." can be removed because you have the prices listed below.) As a buyer, I skim through art boards pretty quickly and give up if I don't see info I need. 2.) Take away lines that reduce buyer confidence in your skills (eg. "my styles are fluid and I don't even know how to categorize them" makes me not sure if I'll get what I'm looking for, or something else, making me less inclined to buy. From the examples you posted, you have a definite style. You have good pieces. Let your work speak for itself!) 3.) You mention csc payment but don't give csc prices or a $ to csc conversion rate. This prevents me from buying as a csc user.

Not here for freebies, here to potentially (?) offer assistance:

I think more variety in your examples would really help. Right now I'm only seeing examples of feminine , pale skinned people (and one off skin toned person, but their face looks the same as the pale skinned people). Maybe having examples of how you draw masculine characters, or dark skinned characters might encourage people with those types of characters to get art from you.

And the second thing is timing. It looks like your art shop was posted on New Years day. So it was both a holiday, and after a massive holiday that probably took a LOT of people's money. I would definitely try again, because it could have just been that people were trying to recoop from Lumi. Now isn't... 100% better, with the pandemic going on, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Aww, thank you! I love that first picture you have. The one with the girl wearing a skull on her head. I would just love something similar to that. I love spooky stuff. Give me a bit to come up with some better examples if you need me to.

The first pic was based off of someone’s ha because I’m not good at naturally coming up with spooky things lol. So yes, a little more reference would help ^^

Something like this in your style? No need to draw the tattoos, and I would love it if she had long purple and red ombre hair instead of gray/brown. And a black kitty if that isn't too much trouble? :)
