Didn't see anyone posting about this.
Subeta is a bit scant on summer holidays so how about a summer festival in Shengui Guo? Like a traditional Japanese festival with games (goldfish scooping, candy cutting, gun-shooting, etc) plus different Asian-inspired food stalls, shops and a grand firework finale. Maybe it could be in remembrance of the legecia of the legend and would give some more culture to Shengui Guo.
I haven't done all the research yet but I thought I'd leave this here. It seems like something fun to do in summer.
I would love this... then maybe we'd finally see the darn Tea Hut come into play. . . LOL.
All jokes aside... any summer-time events are a thumbs up from me. XD
I hope we get the tea house regardless. Especially since I have a tea-themed pet. But Shengui Guo is probably my favorite country on Subeta and it could use some more love and lore.
We are overdue for the Tea House. It seemed like they were really working on it for awhile.
It would be good to have this during August or something, I think that's when the plot that introduced Shengui Guo took place if I remember right. And if it was in the later part of August, then that means there's still room for Gelatin Wars if they usually happen around late July/early August.
It wouldn't really be possible this year, though, but it could be something that could start next year. And if we still don't get the Tea House next Vesnali, then having a holiday like this would be a good time to introduce it if it gets done before Vesnali 2022 but they don't want to make us wait even longer.
I really like this idea! I also think that the possible fashions that could come from this event would be amazing.

Strangely enough, I got this idea from seeing a kimono CW in the pawn shop.
I'm always for more on site events! I don't feel like Shengui Guo gets as much love as it deserves. Definitely room for some beautiful items too.
I think the staff already has the Peka-boo event planned, but Shengui Guo certainly needs more attention. Anyone remember the Tea House?
Really? Thought they gave up on those after the last Peka Boo fiasco. Besides, I doubt it would be this year. I don't come up with these ideas until it's too late. If anything I hope they put it on some kind of "Maybe" pile or however they do it.
I recall the staff saying on Twitter last year that they were considering doing Peka-Boo again but doing it differently this time. Or maybe they'll just bring back the food trucks again, there are quite a few achievment items that are inflated in the shops.
I'm not sure how far in advance these events are planned, though, that's why I said I don't think they would have a new holiday this year. Maybe they did plan to have a one-off event later this summer though. We'll have to see.
I always figured Peka Boo would be more an occasional thing if they did it again anyway.
I would love something like this. I miss when Subeta did events like the cruise, the fashion contest, Peka-boo, etc.
I completely forgot about the cruise. Not my favorite event but it was fun. And I hope we get another fashion contest too. I liked seeing all the different art styles and how they tackled different themes for their clothes.
I would like another site event as well. I really miss the german one now it's been changed. and theres not a lot of summer events to keep me interested
As a somewhat reformed Japan Otaku, I absolutely love the idea of this! Stall ideas come up pretty easily, but would you have any user to user interactions exclusive to a street festival?

I'm not sure of those kinds of technicalities. I trust the staff would be able to figure that part out.
I like this idea but maybe as a one-time or infrequent festival or event (like Peka-Boo). Although I'd love more holidays and recurring events - I think staff need the summer breather to catch up on non-holiday priorities since there are pretty much non-stop holidays from September to May (if you start at Keel Hauliday / Anniversary in September and end with Vesnali in May).
This sounds like a fun event idea for something that would happen occasionally, rather than annually. I think what I'd be most interested in seeing is some kind of cycle of summer events--eg, one year we have Peka-Boo, the next EpiCon, then something like this, then something like the Ren Faire that was suggested a while back, then maybe something like the fashion show event we had several years ago, etc....
I think it'd be fun if they were shuffled around so it wasn't always the same event order--and I agree with that there should definitely be off-years so staff can take the summer to catch their breath!
they/them/theirs, please.
