Has anybody EVER found the best fishing spot?!?! lol I play dozens of times a day and he always says I'm getting very close but I've never actually been lucky enough to find it before c':

I also recall saying that its been found about 5 times (in a post several years ago).

You have to hit the correct pixel, so just clicking in the right box isn't good enough.

omg I didn't know it was pixel perfect - no wonder it's only been found a handful of times!!!?

yeah...depressing! Anyhow in that same post mentioned there had only been 5 winners, he talked about extending it to a 5 pixel range instead of 1, but there was no confirmation if the change had ever been made. Either way, still a tiny target.

yes I have found it! You can check my Achievements and see Fishing Master is there.

At the time I did I asked around and four other people said they did, one of them twice. Maybe some of them were lying or maybe Keith said this more than five years ago?

Here is my guess as to how the words work. How did you get so far is worth ten points and is anywhere farther than two gridlines. Nowhere near it is one box away and is worth twenty points, if you had only gotten closer is within half a box and is thirty points and you were so close is as near as you can be is worth forty.

The fishing game is not a game of hotter and colder it is a logic puzzle. As such there aren't enough guesses to get it exactly right even if you do the equations. Which I do not do. There are sixteen thousand possible pixels and to win you need to get the exact right one.

I used to be number 2 on the HST for this game. Maybe has some tips?

The thread I'm talking about was definitely more than 5 years ago. Even at the time I read it, it was old and parts of it missing already. I haven't been able to find it recently.

I didn't realize there was a points system!! Do the hints of "you were closer on your last pick" etc help in any way? Would you stay within the same box if you got certain hints??

the hints you get as to how close you got only happen after the game is over. The game is randomized, so it doesn't help you find the treasure the next time exactly. It just tells you how good your logic was this time around.

The points are just points, and this is what the HST counnts. The treasure is worth only fifty points and a million sP. You can catch fish worth more than that.

Temictzin is just telling you closer or farther than the last guess. He is not in any way telling you by how much. Consider it a language barrier from Subetan common to Omen Islands speech.
