I have an hourly timer that goes off whenever I'm online so I can retrain my pets - only because I don't want to pay the 25CSC for all 9 pets x'DD
Does anyone here do the same?
When the alert goes off that my pet is done in the training center, I take them out, put them back in and go on with my day until it pops back up again. It's such an ingrained thing for me now, when the alert was broken I felt lost ... lol.
I typically just focus on the battle pet widget on the sidebar. Makes it real easy to catch my eye. I lose track of notifications during events and mindlessly delete them sometimes to get back to the dashboard focus.
I rely on alerts, but even when they fail -- it's a daily thing so whichever pets I want to train are getting thrown in at least once a day. If course training times vary from an hour to a day. LOL I hadn't thought of using an outside timer. Great idea! :)
I have my side bar set to Dashboard only with the Events Widget at the top to keep both in view

Early on I made sure to keep track of the alerts so that Killroy would always be gaining strength and health. As the years have worn on I gradually stopped training and turned to boosting him as a more profitable gain. With Sun I've also reached the point that the trainer center is turning out less gain than the cost is worth it. Now that I am on Dolk, I had been using the center with the csc cost if I remember right, but I don't use the site as much as back in the day so that is kind of a moot point.
It's useful to have one of your pets be stronger just in case, and it's likely you'll get 25 CSC from quests. When my pets were less than tier 6 I would autotrain one of them.
I train all the other pets if their time is up when my weakest pets' time is also up. Otherwise it's just too many Alerts.
