Question.. Why does my Phoenix Quill not work to heal when I am fighting Daemon? It works for other opponents :(

Because with Daemon you cannot heal against her. It's been disabled for this particular challenger.

Healing is disabled against certain opponents. Daemon is one of them.

For permanent challengers, there is Aboxalypse, Eclipse, Coeli, Daemon, and Cursed Effigy the Tormented.

ahh thanks! I apparently don't have Eclipse, Coeli and Cursed Effigy as challengers.
