Many years ago, I got the green light from an artist to have their sketch tattooed on me. The sketch is saved on my hard-drive, but I can't find the artist through reverse-image search. It was many years ago and the only results for reverse-searching the image are thumbnails from related Deviantart submissions. I would really love to go through with making the tattoo idea a reality, but as it is, the image is quite sketchy, with paper grain lines showing through the shading. It would be difficult to transfer to tattoo stencil paper because of how saturated the shading is. I was wondering if it would be against the rules to pay an artist on the site to trace over the lineart only, using similar brush gauge and line width, so that the lineart may be isolated from the sketch and provided to a tattoo artist.
The rules state that art sold on the side must be the artist's original work, so the request is definitely navigating a gray area. I would really love to have this lineart and have tried (unsuccessfully) to isolate the lineart from the drawing.

I recommend that you get whichever tattoo artist you select for the work to line the piece. Each tattoo artist has their way to work, you will insure a consistant piece and have a better idea of what things will look like if you get the tattoo artist to line and finish the work
