why isn't there a non broken Lilac Light Bulb??

There aren't non broken Gold or Dark Matter ones either!

There was an accident in the light bulb factory involving certain dyes some years back. If I recall correctly, there was a meltdown, huge explosions, a mutant light bulb that became sentient and began chasing Subetans all over, and to top it all off some horrible toxic run-off into the river.

Once the authorities apprehended the light bulb monster and everything calmed down a bit, they passed some pretty stringent light bulb regulations that have meant a few colors are just no longer made, lilac being one of those.

It's been recommended by the authorities to keep them away from pets due to the potential hazard for spontaneous combustion and toxic river runoff (also spontaneous), but people tend to disregard that. Since it's not made anymore, it's actually becoming something of a prized rarity to find a lilac light bulb, even a non-working or "broken" one. Gosh, I don't even remember the last time I saw one in use. 2012, maybe?

Also in case it's not obvious, I just made all that up.
