I know this is probably a silly question. But in the rules for pet overlays it say's quad or anthro only and no inanimate objects. But a few of the blobs are inanimate objects. Tombstone, egg, cherry etc. Is there a slight exception made for blob overlays?

I think there is a fine line to walk here... after all, you could also say that most nostalgic pets are inanimate objects. On the other hand, if it has a face, the "inanimate" portion of that is quite arguable. That's part of the difference between a piece of gold bullion and a gold blob.

I'd recommend filing a ticket so that Subeta could clarify, because it really probably depends on a case-by-case basis.

I forgot about the nostalgic pets :] I didn't know if I could file a ticket for it. Seeing as I haven't had anything denied.

Just didn't want to commit to some art and it not be acceptable.

Oh yeah, any time you need a clarification of the rules, I'd suggest filing a ticket! Other users can only really speculate or give you an answer based on their own experiences, but the Subeta team can give you the official answer.

If you wanted to submit something and wait for it to get rejected or not, you could do that too. But if you have an idea of what you want to do (or even a sketch might be helpful) and you asked about it, then they should be able to give you an idea of whether it would be approved or not. Or they could even just clarify what they mean by "no inanimate objects". :)
