Many item types have crossover usages. You can eat the wearables. You can read the wearables. You can READ MINIONS. You can even EAT MINIONS. What's with the strong avoidance of wearables as minions? There are far too many of them that would make great minions.
I love finding my pets the perfect minion to fit their character, but sometimes that perfect find turns out to be not capable of being a minion because it's wearable. My pets like these companions as much as my avatar does, but my avatar can't share them. ðŸ˜
I can't see the harm in letting some wearables be minions, since, excepting in cases of the Pet Zapper, there's no risk to the item unlike Books and Foods that permanently destroy the item.
I think the staff made it a rule that the minions themselves can't be wearable, and instead must be a different kind of item that puts the minions in the overlay. I don't know why, but it's probably the same reason that they no longer make books that are also wearable.
As for making those items above into minions, I don't know how they'll make separate items for that.
Please post your case on this thread: Make this item a Book/Food/Minion/Toy Locking as there is already a thread that compiles these types of requests and has staff interaction. Also note that staff have denied these in the past.
