There are plenty things I really want to have, also could afford, but didn't bought (yet), don't know why.
Do u guys have something, u could afford but didn't bought (yet)?
I reallllly want the new pride boots that Doc Martens released fairly recently. They're subtle and really thoughtfully designed, plus I think the rainbow elements are more permanent than their previous pride boots lol.
I also wanted to order some books for myself, but I'm actually in the process of buying a house and moving, so I really, REALLY don't need more books to worry about and move. OTL
Yeah TBH I love a lot of the Avatar dress up items- but I have a brand to keep up with based on my name. lol. kinda did that to myself but whatever.

Clothes, clothes, clothes for me. Trying to make a small, curated wardrobe that I'm happy with, but it's tricky trying to buy in a sustainable manner without really breaking the bank. I've been trying to go second-hand more often these days, but that comes with its own battles. Right now, I'm just looking at a pair of denim shorts, but I recently moved somewhere new, and I'm not really sure what summer (and a summer wardrobe) looks like here! And.. if we'll get to go out this summer.
That, and books, like said! I told myself I could get a book for every book I finish, but it's been a slow process of actually finishing. Trying not to amass things!
- Oooh, the ones with the rainbow stitching instead of the all-over rainbow coloring? Those look so cool!! I love the idea of taking advantage of their contrast stitch style to show support, and the little embroidered flag is adorable!
- tell me about your shopping~
Yep, those are exactly the ones! My partner also had some problems down the line with the all-over rainbow ones--the print tends to wear away if you get them scuffed up. (though I guess if you WANT a distressed look, it's all good lol.) But the embroidered flag would last for a long, long time.
I try to do the exact same thing with books lol--that, and if I see a new book, I check the library before buying it and request the title if they don't have it. Then when I do check it out, I have to return it eventually!
Woah, def good to know! I was under the impression docs were made of a material that was fairly protective from scuffs and the like. I also love that subtlety! What's holding you back from getting them?
Haha, you are buying a new house - more room for more books?!
I really want to get a Nintendo Switch, but will be moving internationally at some point this year and don't want buy anything until I move. I already have too much to pack! Eventually I'll get to play Animal Crossing.
more clothes, like ! i collect and sell vintage clothing as a second job i guess/main hobby. jewelry too, which is even more expensive ugh. i still have so many pieces that i have to fix up and/or clean so i can wear them, so i'm trying to control myself lol. i want to go thrifting at my favourite spots so badly,
I actually had to spend a lot of time thinking about this, and I had to pose the question to my bf as well, before my answer hit me like a brick: pants. I hate hate hate shopping for pants. Sizing is ridiculously inconsistent, I can never find ones that are an appropriate length for me, and fml I hate pockets on women's jeans. I need more pants, for sure. I only have two pairs now, but I haaaaaate shopping for them. So that's my thing that I can afford but haven't bought. Yay lame me xD
Yep--ever since learning that about the print longevity on their boots, it's made me ponder a little longer about getting a pair with prints on them. I think the thing that's holding me back from just going for the new pride boots is that I get more worried about cash than I need to be, lol. It's probably the stuff with COVID that's actually making me a little more thrifty lately, just in case.
I'm SO excited about the new storage that comes with a house honestly--it's kind of the biggest perk for me. My current apartment is a little under 900 square feet, with no access to outdoor storage of any sort and limited closet space. Everything just feels so tight, so being able to stretch out more in a house with a basement and attic is going to be nice!
A Nintendo Switch and new laptop computer. Can't find the Switch between four states (three friends are looking for me as well) and the laptop I can't afford... quite yet.

I want to buy a wireless gaming mouse (razer epic naga chroma, excessively long name lol) but I’m unsure about it because the company no longer sells it, it can only be bought second hand. It’s being sold on eBay by reputable sellers so it should be fine, but it’s an expensive purchase so I want to be careful.
Ughhh pant shopping is the worst Do you have a favorite pant now? I feel like these days, pants that aren't form-fit are more in-style, so maybe it'll work out better this time? hopefully
Ahhh, that totally makes sense. There's a lot up in the air right now, and it's understandable you want to be extra careful. And you've got a whole new house in the picture! That sounds amazing - space to breaaathe (and slowly add boots and books to)!
I... could PROBABLY afford a Switch Lite and Animal Crossing, but as both my boyfriend and I are out of work at the moment, I'm not spending any money on anything except groceries and bills, lol. It sucks, because literally all of my friends are playing, but... I make do with the mobile Pocket Camp instead. :P
No, I hate pants. They always wear out on the inner thigh long before ANYTHING else ever goes wrong, and it pisses me off to have to throw out pants like that. But patching them in that area? That does not sound even slightly comfortable. Pant trends never seem to help me, one way or another. Probably mostly because I'm short and it's frickin hard to find pants of appropriate length for people like me. Pretty much any time I go shopping for pants, I spend a couple hours at the store and I'm lucky if I can walk away with one pair. It's frustrating.
A PS4 or Nintendo Switch. I can't find either within 100 miles and I don't want to order online.
Working on filled wardrobe achievement. Almost at 12k!
Ahhh that really sucks. :( It is super irritating to spend hours to come back empty-handed. If it helps at all, I've found reddit's femalefashionadvice pretty helpful and supportive in finding good companies and the like for particular fit or wear-down issues. I think there was a thread about inner thigh jean wearing a few weeks back? Online ordering might be the only way to go. Myself, I order the X-long from american eagle (which isn't sold in-store), but they also have shorter in-seams and "curvy" sizing with more give in the thighs and hips. Levi's also kinda work, and they could be promising too, since they have shorter in-seams available. I've also heard good things about Hollister and Abercrombie these days.
I think part of the problem is when you try to shop for pants in-store, 99% of women's jeans aren't labeled with actual measurements, they're like "size 10" which means nothing really. And I find it so hit or miss with pants, that even ordering online is a gamble.
