I thought I'd ask if Survival would still be happening next year or if it would be skipped, since it's based on a pandemic, and there's currently a real life pandemic that's causing a lot of problems and trauma for everyone, and some users might not like to be reminded of it next year.

I've noticed that the stages in the newer virus strains are shown to be nothing like diseases, instead being affected by an outside thing (like Grosseries being caused by vegetables that have come to life, or Metalmorphosis involving a machine that turns you into some kind of cyborg). Some people on the forums have said that the staff are trying to move away from the disease part of it, and looking back that was probably a good idea, but I still feel like a lot of users aren't going to be happy with it.

I wouldn't mind if it happened next year or not, or if there were changes to it just for that year so we could still get candy hearts and new items. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask users whether they still want it next year or not, it would be a good chance to use the polls again.

We have quite a ways to go before then.

This isn't the first pandemic humanity has had, it won't be the last. Not to be an ass but it's the truth.

Its been a staple event to subeta for years. I highly doubt they would remove it from the usual line up. And we picked zombies/undead plot ideas for it to be opposite of the usual valentines idea. And much like how masq started off heavy with steampunk themes they have slowly taken the holiday and morphed it into other ideas while sticking to the main theme of the holiday.
