Hello all!
I only got into CW a couple weeks ago and haven't submerged myself into the confusing world of selling/slots/commissions/discord servers yet.
Basically, I missed a particular item I really really wanted to purchase: (it recently, within the past week, sold out I believe sobs). I think I know the original seller.
My questions are: when CWs go out of stock, will they ever be restocked? Is it weird or rude to ask the original seller if they are willing to sell you one more copy? Is there any way to obtain an item that recently sold out, or do I have buy it off of someone else?
I don't create or sell CWs, so I just don't want to burden or confuse the seller if I do contact them. Dumb question, I know. Thanks for your help!
Sad and no longer functioning.

: Hi, welcome to CW! CWs can be really confusing, but it will get better with time! With regard to your questions: 1- Yes and no. Because a releaser can decide the number of a CW, there are two possibilities: If the number is limited, and all copies have been claimed, that CW will not be restocked ever. The good news is someone might look to sell their copy in the r200 forum (a subforum in Advertisement). You can always post there stating you're looking for that specific item, ping a group called buysellcw (you can only ping once every three days) and hope someone might see your board or remember you when they decide to sell their copy. The other possibility is when the releaser submit the CW as unlimited, and state in the slotting post that they would sell more copies in the future (so they must not commit to retiring that item forever after slotting is done - in which case they must abide by their commitment and the item won't be restocked). If that's the case you can join the releaser's ping group to receive notifications of when the restocking happens.
Thanks so much for your answers! I'll go ahead and ask the creator, and then post in the r200 if no restocking is expected to happen ^^
