The higher tier ones should be easier to sell. Their loot (paintbrush blades, and specs) are actually really good.

The easier challengers will be more for completists or just someone who's relatively new to battling.

[edit]The Research File Cabinet actually unlocks a second challenger once you beat the first, so there's some bonus value hidden in it.
